ND Filters are more for allowing you to open up your aperture, and polarizing filters (which come in the form of variable ND filters) polarize light which essentially cuts down the amount of light by at least half and reduces glare. The only thing to watch our for when using polarizing filters is that with wide angle lenses 'X' or crosses might appear in the sky due to the way light is polarized in the filter. You can also get the Sony app to view yourself on your phone. LOL
