Watched that original "sell out" video when you released it and I gotta say, it helped me prepare for what was to come and like you, I'm bummed your predictions came to life. I agree that it's likely that the other platforms will raise prices soon as well as operational costs for data transfer and servers continues to rise. @Michael It's pronounced "EV Mucks", and it's a great platform for easy setup and adding guests. 1080p output for free, with 2hr/stream 30hr/mo limitations and the watermark, of course. Other than that, it's a great way for people to get started streaming.

i tried restream. but my issue was I couldnt bring the comments to the screen like other platforms could. or did I do it wrong? thats a big deal for me. i know not for everyone

@@TheDoBetterPodcast yeah restream studio has that ability to bring comments to the screen. But that is only if you're using the studio function. If your running it through OBS than you will need those other plugins to do that on obs.

I would love to see a video on setting up your own stream without a 3rd party service other than renting a server just for the bandwidth. I host my own web site and would like to stream there. I’m done getting guideline strikes on TikTok, KZbin, and other social platforms.

They didn't lie. But they sold to another company. They were ripe for the big-dollar picking.. and boom... there ya go. The new company has no interest in catering to your individual gripe. If a bunch of people sued... that's another story. They are depending on the fact that it's not very likely that will happen. Move to EVMux or something else. That's the most damage you will ever do to the douchebags.

I tried obs with vdoninja and I had some issues with my video and audio not being synced....and I saw your video about the settings for obs and adjusted those (most were ok) .... so do you have any other suggestions for recording interviews? I can use obs just for me, fine, but not interviews it would seem

I left Streamyards a good bit ago and have been in with Restream. Since i also do gaming streams it makes the most sense to stick with for the time being. I just wish their studio was a little better especially for having clips avaliable like Streamyard. Oh well.

I am the reason StreamYard finally created the Duck plush toy. In their early days, I would watch their livestream every Sunday and kept asking them to create a plush duck that looked exactly like the logo. After almost one year they finally did, instead of them giving me one for free, I wound up winning one at random on their weekly free giveaways. PS; they did reveal the name of their mascot duck. His name is “Puddles”.
