9. Bxe7 is practically forced, because Bf4 lets black exchange knight for bishop and wreck white's pawn structure.

The outside passed pawn becomes very dangerous as it moves up the a-file. On its original square it's weak. Thx for the post - always a pleasure to watch your games.

You mastered your openings with white and black. The only thing you need to do is trust more on your intuition. Don't waste time. Always go for safety. Don't always have to force a win. Keep it simple and make no mistakes. Play faster during your games. The amount of time you waiste in pretty simple patterns is not needed. Train your self on fast chess. Play bullet or 3 min games. You might loose more but you will be able to win on time from stronger opponents. This will help you in 5 or 10 min games. Play fast play safe. Don't waiste time. Say it like a mantra over and over again.

these are really skilled players...but it's like, if you've played against a computer, some moves are automatic, because they give you a positional advantage - knowing this alone, grants you victory; in warfare it's about speed. and, you've got to know which moves are automatic. choosing between the pawn, and castling, that's an automatic-move; it's based on warfare stratagem; seek the defense first, the offense second: you don't question it, you fulfill the duty, and move on. i like Anna, but she's driving me nuts with how long her confusion lasts...

Well said. Don’t overthink in situation when action is clear. Even if you chose offence (taking the pawn) ahead of defence just do it immediately. Anna unfortunately will never learn this since it’s her problem from day 1. She just wants to think even if she has no time. More afraid for a bad move than clocking. While it’s something she can focus on and learn from. I still have hope she will do one day. Her rating would be so much higher if she did.

Unfortunately for Anna she was taught time consuming long calculating on the board chess which was becoming obsolete do to computers main line theory of memorizing computer analyzed openings and variations then using intuition and pattern recognition to make quicker moves from experience.

I'm actually surprised why Anna thinks so long after cd4 Nxd4. I suppose white should think about that before playing cd4. I'm also surprised why black thought so much after Bxe7. I suppose one would think what to do about that before playing Nxd4, as they were the obvious moves..

Just feels like you are overcomplicating the simplest things. I don t know if there are positional ideas behind your thoughs...but if so, you should just say them/ explain them. Cause in situations like 1:57 for example.... its really easy to see, that there a 2 attackers on the bishop and 1 defender. And that you have the possibility to eather trade of, move alway or blablablabla. These things are easy to see in kind of one mili second. I know that words are not a very useful tool....it s easier to think faster, then to speak....or well, to see the picture and map it in your mind, then to explain. But are you even doing that? Interesting would be more WHY you make the choices, thst you make. Like...why is the one Position that you end up better, then the other one. What s behind the decicion. I think if people wanna learn chess, then tjey wanna know most of the cases which decicion to take and why. Everything else every 4 year old can do and see. It s not that hard, sorry. I don t mean that mean or arrogant by the way. It s just easy to see.
