Watch how quickly reddit would do a complete 180 and how suddenly they would switch sides if OP told them that.... I don't know but knowing that really annoys me because in order for these reddit commenters to take boundaries seriously you would have to have to be autistic or something which is ridiculous.

Yea. Commenters were really off today. Normally, everyone advocates for "no means no" and not listening to no is an immediate "red flag, get out of that relationship." Initially I was split on my judgment. I didn’t catch the part about him waking her up to hold her hand. Somehow I thought he wanted to hold her hand when they went to bed, which didn’t seem weird to me. At first it almost sounded like OP didn’t want any physical contact at all, which seemed weird for a getaway with a boyfriend. On the other hand, he was clearly ignoring her very clearly stated wishes, multiple times. Then I read OPs updates and it was clear this guy was smothering her. Following her to the bathroom to show her some Facebook meme was weird. Then I found out they had only been dating for two weeks, which seems early for a overnight trip. I have to put some of that on OP. She’s normal for wanting some space, but comes across as moving too quickly by agreeing to go on an overnight trip and paying for the whole thing on top it it. In the end she did the right thing dumping him. He sounds like more trouble than he’s worth. But I hope OP learned a lesson about pacing a relationship. She’s attracting weirdos by going away with guys she barely knows.

You don’t have to pace a relationship with normal humans. I’ve done trips like 3rd date knowing someone, and realized it I like them more or don’t. @Grace_x68 Жыл бұрын
They normally don't touch their wife's like this. Don't let co-workers touch you like this. It's a way of establishing dominance. That's most likely the reason why he inserts himself everywhere.

@@Grace_x68 normally I'd agree, but that guy didn't have that sort of vibe; he was just overly affectionate and clueless/nosy as hell. Story 1: People who are touchy with people who've directly asked not to be touched are a problem. Consent is key when it comes to anything with your body and your partners. She told him to stop and he refused. My ex-BIL did that shit with my sister when they were dating and it drove me up the wall! Like don't touch people who have asked to be left alone, it's not that hard of a concept. And the fact that he just came into the bathroom while she was using it showed how little he cared about her privacy. All of it *screams* a lack of respect and that is poison in a relationship. I'm just glad she didn't let him know where she lives, someone this obsessed could also be dangerous. I'd tell her to keep an eye out for him still, I don't see him respecting that the relationship is over because he "just likes her so much." Story 2: OP is an angel and his family is monstrous. The fact that his sister and BIL called the family of the niece's girlfriend, outing her to them, makes me sick. Them saying the only way for *their child* to come back to the family is if she volunteers to be tormented is enraging. I'm glad he'd built the relationship with her so that she knew he was a safe person to run to.

Constantly touchy, wouldn't accept no even on days I just wasn't feeling well or was sick, and was just overwhelming. I think people need to understand that yes, touch is a love-language, but if your partner's is not, you need to also respect that and compromise. Sometimes I just want to exist in the presence of someone, and that's enough for me, we don't have to talk or cuddle, I'm just happy to be with them in the same room because their presence makes me happy. But if I constantly have to apologize for not feeling good today while my partner is constantly trying to hug me and kiss me knowing well I'm having cramps, it's just disrespectful.
