OMG YES!!! I wish I found this video earlier today, would have saved my marriage!! (Okay...well...not my marriage, but woulda probably saved a small argument with my boyfriend, lol!). I had two printed sheets of stickers, ready to laminate! The first one I screwed up because my butterfinger got the paper stuck to the laminate and I tried to peel it off before it got worse, but the paper ended up ripping, and tearing right at the registration marks! and I ended up giving up once all chaos broke loose! Oy! When I had no confidence left in myself that I could pull off the second sheet, I asked my bf if he could do it (knowing he's much more fragile and capable of working with detailed work. I'd seen the method you describe at the end of the video that you found from other youtubers, and tried to explain to my partner to try it that way! However, he did not listen to me, and decided to try his own method instead, and began removing the entire film off in an attempt to lay it flat, upside down, on the table. I freaked out when he was peeling it TOO FAR! Not knowing he was trying his own method, and in that process of him peeling, I tried to stop him, thus causing him to bend the film. Oh no... He ended up finishing removing the entire film (now crinkled in parts), laid it flat on the table, and slowly put down the sticker sheet on the sticky side. Of course...when it came time to get the bubbles out, 2 of the stickers ended up a bit damaged because the paper was just too delicate versus the film. Later we had a big relationship talk about what went wrong, who was at fault, the definition of faults, why is everything someones fault, anything that does go wrong has a fault, yadda yadda..yadda yadda....ANYWAYS....... If we'd watched your video first...I think we coulda saved some discontent with each other. I showed him the video just now and he responded there were lots of ways of doing it wrong and that he got lucky. I really appreciate all your honesty in this video and you made me feel much better about my mess ups. hearing what you have gone through just hit home with me, and gave me confidence not to give up with using any adhesive laminate sheets (or in the future hologaphic sheets). With that said...I'm going to check out the Dollar Tree for that tool, and try your method out next time! I'm sure it will work!! Thank you so much.

I had watched this video first. Then you said you had the part one so I watched it also. I use the exact same products. And yes that laminate was a pain lol. Thanks for the helpful hints. I thought that laminate was just too thin but now with your suggestions it will help.

Just a heads up. It's not waterproof. It's water resistant but I have found after being on my car for about a week, and having rain, the water seeps into it and the ink bleeds. I used an HP T1100 plotter for printing. This uses inkjet ink simialr to yours but imagine a 48" wide printer. Then I used a cold roll laminator to laminate using the same sheets, but I've also tested other sheets. They seem to be ok for a quick wash, like 5-10 seconds under a tap when you wash the outside of a steel bottle. But place them on say a car window or panels and they bleed badly after rain. I'm using waterproof vinyl as well. So far the best no bleeding has been printing using a laser printer, you don't even have to laminate and they hold up in rain and snow, BUT large sections of blue or greens at least on my Konica Minola Bizhub colour printer come out a bit blotchy. Not sure if other mach8nes handle those colours better. I'm considering to try putting eco solvent ink into a new one of those ink tank type printers. Eco solvent is waterproof. I would do a long time test on these in different situations first, especially if you are selling them as waterproof. Nice vid on the application technique. Had I seen that inmay nit have bought the cold roll laminator

I agree with the ink bleeding from the edges. I ran into the same issue with stickers I put on my car windows. One thing that helped was using the offset tool to create a white boarder around the design. That way you don't have ink right on the edges to bleed. I made a sticker of my logo using Cricut's waterproof vinyl months ago and it's still on my car in perfect shape.

Can't you use clear contact paper, which is super cheap? The duck brand works great too.
