Some recommendations for a future Bucharest trip! 1 - Manuc's Inn for dinner, built in early 1800s, got some really interesting traditional food 2 - Constitution Square and Palace of Parliament. Super massive impressive building. Don't miss the churches physically moved out of the way. 3 - Dealul Mitropoliei, one of the centres of Romanian Orthodoxy 4 - Romanian Athenaeum, super pretty concert venue 5 - Dimitrie Gustie national village museum, an open-air collection of Romanian village life 6 - Therme Bucharest, a huge spa. Great to relax in, and not far from the airport either 7 - Book a tour with a local. We had a young man show us round and explain the still very recent history of the Romanian revolution Honestly, this city really surprised me with how much it has to offer. It's still rough in places, but there's a lot to see and do. I loved it - hope you do too!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, albeit not completely. I do hope you'll visit Romania again and get out of Bucharest, the countryside is gorgeous and filled with history. Maybe visit Sinaia, which is a really nice town in the Carpathians, just an hour or so north of Bucharest. You'd very much enjoy Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle. I guarantee Blair would too! Or if you'd want to go for the ecclesiastical tour, there's the historic monasteries of the Moldavian region like Voronet, Moldovita, Sucevita, or Putna Monastery, which were built by Stephen the Great, who allegedly founded a church after each military victory. You can also go to Transylvania and visit the big cities there, while the Danube Delta offers ferries and boat rides on the canals, where there is a plenitude of wildlife, including pelicans and more recently FLAMINGOS! Looking forward to your next video! [thumbs up emoji]

I watched your both episodes, unfortunately, don’t believe you gave it a real good image. Going to a park, a zoo and a museum doesn’t sum it up. You’ve missed Ceausescu’s Palace, which is the heaviest building in the world and in the top of the biggest, also did not gave many of the city’s beauty a good look. You’ve only been through the same route 3 times making the North Railway Station a primary POV. We all know that stations are often the place full of drunks and scammers. As a Romanian living in Glasgow, I could walk around and make a video of all the boozers and homeless doing drugs around Queen Station and Central Station. Also, Glasgow train stations don’t really offer a good variety of foods. I would invite you to come over to Bucharest and actually see the real beauty of it. Tiriac Collection is someone’s car private collection open to the public, you’ll probably really enjoy it. Food, the food you went for isn’t really traditional and it looked terrifyingly wrong, probably as everywhere else, a tourist scam. As a full verdict, I think you made the city look worse than it actually looks and it seems biased AF. Not sure what your intention is, however you’ve succeed to show a face of Bucharest that’s hardly relevant to tourists. Hotels. Bucharest has a huge selection of hotels that go from boutique to high end chains like Marriott, Radison or Hilton. Hotels like Marmarosch would blow your mind, however you haven’t even made it close to the historic center and only spent the time around Victoriei square. Another aspect you missed was the variety of places you can go to in the old town and besides. Places like the north of Herastrau Park. Not sure what month you’ve been there, but it doesn’t look full season. Try July or August and give a try to the real heat and the full vibing Bucharest.

People approach you to talk to you and distract you from what you need to be concentrating on like luggage etc. Then someone else approaches you and steals something. In Romania it is called "Taps Arap" which I think translates to pinching or stealing. They call these people "vagabond". Happens a lot in these poorer countries especially and in Italy.
