So unfair to hotel staff when he uses that torch, I think he must assume they all have the time to deep clean the rooms between each guest. You would find dirt anywhere with one of those things. Also it makes him look like a bit of a plonker when he gets it out, I don't think he realises
@daniel6910 ай бұрын
@birdsbodger wrong. We donf expect them.to deep clean every day but they should have a schedule to deep clean the rooms say once a fortnight

I bet that's what they do anyway. Also if he shined his torch on the table and restaurant fixtures and fittings not to mention the plates cutlery and glass before his romantic meal for one I think he would get the same results @@daniel69

He should shine his torch on the restaurant too but I don't think he is brave enough as the staff would see him. Would probably be much filthier too. Sorry if this is a repeat post. I'm expecting that they probably deep clean the rooms at least once a week to be honest .

I've twice visited Budapest and loved it. Next time you go be sure to spend a day at one of the spas. If you forget to pack your swimming cozzy and flip-flops , I think you can just turn up and hire these and towels. I recommend staying Monday to Friday tho' the famous 'ruin' bars can still get busy in the tourist season. The noisy night clubs are confined to a small area, so it should be easy to evade the stag and hen parties and find quieter bars selling craft beer. The must-buy souvenir for you, Scott (and Steve Marsh) is the t-shirt commemorating Hungary's 6-3 thrashing of England at Wembley Stadium in 1953.

Well that was brilliant and uncanny Scott. We were in Budapest last week and made a pilgrimage to Vagon after our first experience of the place in 2018. We went for my birthday on Wednesday but they were full (Valentine’s Day) so booked for Thursday and weren’t disappointed at all. Such a unique restaurant with high quality food. Just seeing you walking around the city made me feel I was still there. Also we stayed at the Atrium Fashion hotel which is at the other end of that back lane that the Novotel is on. A nice little hotel with a decent continental breakfast. Fortunately the air con was perfect in the room as it was similarly warm when we walked in. I thoroughly recommend a week in Budapest as there is so much to do. We crammed in quite a lot in the 4 days we were there (flights from/to Leeds/Bradford are a bit on the late side sadly so Monday was a late arrival but Friday’s 1915 flight meant we got half a day in at least).
