Imagine the scent of warm, homemade bread wafting through your home. In this video, I’m taking that dream and making it a reality with a simple, yet delicious recipe. This isn’t just any bread - it’s a quick bread made with whole wheat flour that’s so delightful, you’ll forget about store-bought bread. Transform your kitchen into a homemade bakery!
Ingredients:
• Bread flour: 1 ½ cups (220g)
• Whole wheat flour: ¾ cup (100g)
• Water: ¾ cup + 3 tbsp. (220 ml)
• Fresh yeast: 1 tsp. (3g) or dry yeast: ½ tsp. (2g)
• Sugar: 1 tsp. (to feed the yeast)
• Salt: 1 tsp.
This recipe doesn’t require any kneading, just mixing! I use a unique method I call “lift and slap”, together with "stretch and fold", to help the dough rise nicely. The dough is then cut into 6 equal parts, rolled, and baked to perfection. The result? A crust that sings and a soft, flavorful inside that’s perfect with butter. The whole wheat bread has a richer flavor and lasts longer (if you don't eat it all in one day, like I did)
