The ancient Egyptians worshiped cats so they've been around much longer than a few hundred years.

Yeah, cats may not have been domesticated quite as far back as dogs, but the have still been with us for at least 4000-5000 years, I'd say.

The wild boar/feral hog problem here in the States is because the Vanderbilts brought some over from Russia for sport hunting on their property in NC. They eventually spread across the lower 48 and mixed with domesticated pigs to create the infamous "mega-hogs" you hear about.

Also cats have been domesticated for 10k-12k years, as for being pets, i recall reading about a roman who made a grave for their cat, and etched a very heart felt epitath into it.

The first clip and the third clip of foxes are from a youtube channel called Save-a-fox which is based in Michigan i believe. Mikayla is the owner and she saves foxes from breeding farms and such. Most of the foxes she's kept but over the years she's also has other animals. She literally lives with the animals as her house is in the center of the property

Also I would absolutely love to have a wolf. Doing my job the winter before last, I got to meet a pit bull timber wolf mix. Just...imagine that for a moment. The raw size of a timber wolf, with the short fur and absolute muscles of a pit bull. On all fours, this good boy's head was where my chest is at, and I'm five foot ten. I pulled the bag of pizza out the back seat of my car, turned around, and suddenly there was a whole ass wolf in front of me. And then he reared up in front of me, I was suddenly looking VERY up at him, and a little pee came out of me. But, he just wanted a hug. It's a very good thing he didn't choose violence, because that's not a fight I'm winning lol

They didn’t just bring foxes down to Australia to hunt them. They were also brought out to keep the rabbit population under control, which were also an introduced species.

Beef is definitely better than moose, and I had a driver's ed instructor who can confirm. His cat wandered off into the woods once. A few days later, the cat was back, missing an eye...having 1v1'd a whole ass moose. How did a cat kill a moose? Dunno! But that was one cat to not fuck with.

I might remember one research wrong, but Foxes might have been "tamed" before Wolfs were tamed into Dogs. Fox "taming" was more of they hunted together and human left food for fox as thank you. When Dogs were tamed Foxes were left behind as Dogs were easier to tame, more obedient, loyal and friendlier as pack animal they respected leader.

Domesticated means an animal that serves a purpose for humans, big difference between domesticated and tamed, wolves domesticated themselves formig a symbiotic relationship but yes it was humans that turned them into dogs it's the oldest version of genetic modification I know that's not best word but it's been going on since the neanderthals or even longer

To disagree slightly with original_chaos_hunter in the chat, I've had bear as well. It's a bit greasy and gamey, but it was friggin delicious, so I'm guessing you either had it cooked improperly, or perhaps it was a sick bear or something. I've had it in steak form, and it was pretty good, but it's way better when cooked into a stew. Slow simmer, let the grease melt out into the stew, best stew ever.
@NightFangFenrir2 ай бұрын
The same can be said about duck and goose, it can be quite greasy, stringy and gamey but if butchered and prepared properly it greatly mitigates these problems. Honestly this goes for pretty much any kind of wild game, if it’s not butchered or prepared right it’s most likely gonna end up tasting awful.

Little do you know that the Reason newfoundland has a big moose problem. Is the fact The state of maine borders them that has that area designated as a protected area for a moose's. The state of Maine borders them and has that area designated as a protected area. And there is quite the problem with Canadian moose Hunters illegally cross into the united states to haunt moose in maine and try to force a lot of their population back into Canada.

thiose look snuggly but foxes are predators and should be respected, havinb them live just across the road i can safely say they are NO pet, they are ferocious. those white ones live bit further inland from me, they are beautiful to watch in nature. and speaking of cute, watching fox cubs play in reality is mind numbingly cute, very tempting to approach, but, foxes are nurturing oarents and will defend their young, and as you can understand a fox could really damage a human... so watching from distance would be my choice.
