I think most times we focus on the benefits that come with marriage instead of the purpose of marriage. I believe if we view marriage as an assignment that God is entrusting a wife and husband to fulfill, like a class of a husband and wife that God is the professor, watching our every move and actions, our approach would be different. But the truth is growing up, we’re told and taught of the roles of a wife, but not the purpose of why God brings two people together. So we enter marriages thinking we already know instead of seeking God for guidance. Please do more marriage content, I’m loving it!

You worded this so perfectly Stephanie, Marriage far precedes just the title its introspection and growing with a partner as well as growing with God

Its ok hun we dont know how to do life without God. We don't know how to be a wife, a parent, being a good child, being a student, choosing a career etc.. God knows best let him lead you hun your doing amazing. This is transparent and will help many! ❤

I love these conversations. I have a similar story. I too got married at 22 and I’ve changed and grown so much over the 5 years. Getting married young can be hard, especially when you don’t have good role models on how to be a good wife/husband, but if both parties love each other and are willing to put in the work, they can grow and get better together.

My husband started bible study a few months ago and he read 1 Timothy 5:8 and I’ve never seen him hustle as much as he has since. The Bible has the keys.

Hi Susu, I would like to see you go more in depth about what you learned about how to be a wife. What do you do differently now than what you did before also, what were some of your fears of marriage? See if your husband will join you so we can gain both perspectives.

Wow, that’s actually really amazing here and it’s great that you guys are still together because Marriage is not easy, but I always say that once you get over that first time it only gets better from there.

I want to hear your husband's side. What was the decision factor to get married so early? He was young too. How did he navigate his life and his young wife’s life? How did he handle everything? I’m sure he was learning about himself too. How did he learn to be a husband? It would ne nice to hear from him.

Love the topic! I got married in early 20s as well and there is so much growth that happens as individuals and as a union that most people overlook, which is sometimes good and bad. A lot of folks on LIB and generally like the idea of being married more than the reality of what marriage actually was and the person they’re blindly committing to.

I love your transparency and I definitely relate ❤️❤️❤️ my husband and I got married when i was 19 and we celebrate our 18th marriage anniversary next month ❤❤❤ it takes love, patience and also being able to let your partner learn and grow as you go. Also, we enjoyed EACH OTHER for the first 7 years before we had our son.

My husband and I owned our emotions, issues, lack of respect in our past relationships and wanted better for ourselves and our relationship. We discussed the hard stuff like death, emergencies, money, families and God. I learned to let go watch my husband lead while discussing every decision that would affect US as a couple and our household. He is a husband and I am a wife and we have each other’s back, front and sides. I tell anyone who wants to get married if you must have emergency surgery will your person save you or let you die, will your person pause when the doctors ask what do you want us to do, will your person say I have enough blood for both of Us. Does your person take care of you when you are good and rubs the Vicks on your chest when you are sick. Does your person cover you at night when the blanket is off your body. Does your person CARE about YOU. Marriage is important because that person is responsible for YOUR LIFE. Please choose your partner wisely when you decide to get married.

This is a great topic because even tho I grew up w married aunties, I didn’t want the marriages I was seeing.. I’ve been w my partner for 7 years and we have a 3 year old, it’s not until this year that we really want to honor God & get married. We’re both 29 & it just a heavy decision + we don’t have the best examples around us. But I definitely look up to you Susu and I will continue to keep praying on how to be a good wife

God really works in crazy ways😂. Recently I was telling my bsf how I wanted get married young (I’m 18 but would love to get married around the age 23). When I tell people I want to get married young everyone always has negative things to say. and I remember I watched a girls talk you made where you said you got married young. So I was coming to your Chanel today so I could comment on your recent video to ask you to talk about getting married young but as I looked you already made this video and that’s soooooo crazy to me😭😭😭😭

And this is why I am so against getting married at such a young age. Women are not prepared and ready to be a wife and how to love their husbands, respect them, honor them, adore them and submit to husband. And men are not prepared to be husband provider, protector and professor of love, how to love their wives like Christ loves the church. And that is NOT what dating is! 23 Types of Guys You Might Meet is an excellent book to read.
