What I've learned about people is that sometimes those that ask a lot of seemingly meaningless questions often aren't trying to be rude but are just lonely. Wine girl may feel alone or lonely and her way of connecting is talking to anyone who will listen. I mean someone walking around their apartment complex drinking wine isn't necessarily happy right? Sometimes people reach out is the only way they know how. Many people aren't aware of others boundaries or even body language. Many introverts (myself included) don't need so much interaction with people but extroverts do...and an extrovert who is lonely or lost may connect with anyone in any way possible.

I don't like most people, either. This changed drastically in my early 40s. I started to heal since I realized I suffered from PTSD (abuse at home + out of home) and all these terrible decisions I'd made in my life and people I clang to were subconscious survival mechanism. @@KarleyCottrell You aren't understanding what I'm saying. Of course, you are not obligated to to participate in any conversation. And we cannot have a functional society if we assume everyone feels as you do. People talk to you because they are hopeful for a human connection, not because they are entitled. If you do not want to talk with them, you have the agency to politely excuse yourself from the conversation. I’ve been feeling so weird and “crazy” lately because it feels like the world is falling apart and there are so many bad things happening and I kind of take notice of other people around me and it’s kind of like people don’t see it, or they just don’t want to. It’s just not normal, like yes bad stuff happens all the time, but are there not like a million bad things happening right on top of each other, just one after the other? Are people this detached from reality, or have peoples standard of life and how people should conduct themselves become so perverted that no one else can see it? The speech that Leo gave in “Don’t Look Up” when the reporters were making a joke about a comet hitting earth is exactly how I feel about our current state as a people.
@manufacturedreality87062 жыл бұрын
People are aware of all the bad things that are happening, but they feel powerless to do anything about it, so they try to tune it out as much as possible. People have lives to live, families to take care of. They can't do what they need to do if they are sad, depressed and frustrated all the time. Detaching from reality is basically a defense mechanism.....trying to protect their sanity.
