Another sad Dean video because I love this character so much.There are so many sad scenes with Dean and I just wanted to put a lot of them together to show what he's been through. After all that he's been through he's still fighting. He's still saving people. The fact that he wanted to die after losing Cas and Mary just broke my heart. But now Cas is back and he knows Mary is alive, so I hope he will find her and be happy again.

tarny11 tbh.......Jensen got A LOT of credit. Think about it, he's already 40 years old and he's been through this series for 13 seasons. His fans show up and get to ask him questions. He even gets to have fun while doing the show. He gets to play the role of Dean Winchester, the alpha male who was raised as a hero that people needed and feels like a REAL properly developed character that everyone loves too. I don't know him outside of supernatural, but I am thankful that he made Dean Winchester possible.

While I was STILL a child, there were a few adults in my life who could see it. They actually said to me “You haven’t even had a chance to BE a CHILD” or “you’ve had to grow up so fast”… I was only 11 when that first started happening, now I’m nearly 40. It still hurts sometimes, but those adults were so kind to me and hugged me and talked to me and listened to me when they could. They don’t live near me anymore but sometimes I’m just dying to jump in the car and drive the 1000+ miles just to ask for one more hug. May seem crazy but when those nearby keep treating you like you’re invisible, how could one want to do anything else?

Somehow, it can be very easy to overlook that Dean's going through a hard time but when it's all put together like this, it feels like it should be obvious but I think a lot of us miss it. There were signs ever since the beginning but I feel like we're easily drawn away because we mostly see the issues Sam is having. It's insane how easily a cry for help can be overlooked. Dean is honestly a fantastic character and I'm disappointed in myself for not catching the hints earlier.

The thing that gets me is his small voice break when he tells Mary 'I never was', because Dean never got to be a kid. He had to grow up so fast, to keep Sam safe. He had to be a father and mother as well as a brother, and its why he puts on the front of being an immature joker at times, despite the pain and suffering he's in. Loved this video! I think that Dean's lack of self worth is one of his most important character traits. It ties back to everything - his inability to live up to John's perspectives, how he can't save everybody, how he lost Sam (a few times), even his bisexuality.

This will forever be one of my favorite Dean tributes. I have always related to Dean (shit childhood, playing the "mom" role for my siblings, severe mental health issues). There is a particular scene in season 12 where Dean is talking to Mary, and some of the things he tells his mom makes me cry, when I normally don't cry to television, because it's nearly identical to how I feel about my own mom. The dialogue he has with himself that gets brought out through other characters really hits home and not only helps me to realize I'm not alone but also that it's worth it to keep fighting, if not for my own sake but for the people I want to help. Thank you for such a beautiful video. I come back to it all the time. ❤

Chuck should have been slapped. Dean's only issue with his father is that he's practically a child-soldier veteran whose been fighting for decades, only to be let down, more often than not, by the very people he surrounds himself with. Dean thinks he's responsible for all the losses around him, but that isn't true. Sam and Cas are to blame for most of the messes they find themselves in, it's just Dean that has to fix everything, and sometimes his solution, while a solution, has some rather heavy costs that have bitten them in the ass before. But they still needed to be done, which as a soldier, Dean understands. Anyone else notice the commonality between Dean presently and the Archangels back in season 5? They were lost, tired and just wanted it to be over with. Michael was trying to be the good son, doing what his father had asked for, wanted to destroy evil and bring paradise to Earth and all the lost human lives would get to go to heaven. Sound familiar? It's Dean now. It's taken him getting the ever living shit kicked out of him physically and spiritually, but he's there. He's practically the mirror of this 'verse's Michael.
