I’d take a look at the wheel bearings with the popping and clunking when turning and bumps. My old f150 had the same symptoms and my front driver side wheel bearing ended up blowing apart

We did powder coating in highschool and we just had a homade box with metal wrap covering the whole inside and then put heatlamps on the door and put a thermometer in there to keep an eye on temp and maybe some adjustable vents if it gets too hot

When i rebuilt my front suspension. I did strut assemblies, upper control arms, upper/lower ball joints sway bar links, inner and outer tie rods. As well as brakes and rotors and wheel hub assembly all for around 900$. Installed myself .. thats atleast the minimum of parts you should change if you wanna get that steering right especially with those rims n tires. Pop on turns sounds like bad bushing somewhere or sway bar links maybe

When you get to the audio, don't forget to check out Skar Audio, definitely gonna be my next system setup. I've been looking into em and the power output is respectable and perfect for everything you've done already; not to mention the prices and application options are perfect for anything you want, from automotive/two wheeled automotive to marine usage, everyday use and competition. Even if you go small and single sub enclosure you still get a huge bang for your buck, as well as their component setups are killer. I can't stress em enough.

There’s also a bushing on the silverado lower steering column inside that goes bad. Like 20$ part. You disconnect the shaft inside and knock the bushing out with a screwdriver. Push the new one in and reconnect the shaft

The ABS and service 4x4 lights start going off on these Rams when the wheel bearing is going out. When it does you'll lose a tire and truck depending on speed. I've seen way to many guys have this happen after asking about those warning lights and letting it go.

My fathers 2018 Larimie 2500 has the abs and traction control lights that comes on and off. It come on and goes off when the truck hits bumps or hits standing water. It’s a common problem with the 4th gen rams. I believe it’s the wheel speed sensor.

If you have spacers on your front struts, pull one top nut off at a time and see if the stud is sitting on the edge of the hole. It will cause a pop sound also. Just reposition the strut so the studs are close to center and tighten good

Ryan, you’re the guy that got me into doing this powdering. Did my whole kit myself with the same setup you have except I did buy a HF blast cabinet and I built an oven. If you want to check out my ig @pandemic_silverado there are pics on there or on fb @pandemic_silverado for even more pics. Bought the cabinet at Sam’s, insulated outside with rockwool and covered with plywood. A simple smoker vent from Amazon and propane top hat for heat. The top hat isn’t the best option, use a torpedo with digital temp controller. There are quite a few KZbin videos on how to set up the torpedo heater. Not huge but big enough to do everything you’re wanting to do. I did crossmembers,leaf springs, sway bar, compression struts and those big honkin’ spindles in it. And best part, the thing is on rollers! Feel free to dm me any questions. I know you’re all about DIY to save $. I decided to tackle my build completely myself & my Son from watching your channel. I’m in Fayetteville,OH so yeah...Go Bucks!

@Ls_swap2114 жыл бұрын
That rack is normal movement I thought same thing but it moves a lot If your getting poping on bumps in the road then you need to go over your shock tower bolts and the bottom buschings on the shock I bought bilstiens 5100 10-12” adjustable and the bottom busching was shot after a few months Went out and bought some cheap mcgaughy 7-9” and set em at 9” with 2” level spacer under the bottom and the poping went away lol

To fix some of the play in the steering pop off the top plastic piece above/behind your steering wheel and you’ll see two T25 (I think) bolts and you’ll have to turn the steering wheel to get to one. Snug those up good and you’ll be surprised at how much it’ll tighten things up as far as your popping issue it sounds like a cv axle to me

It’s common on mopar products for the wheel speed sensors to fail, and it causes the abs light, and traction control light to come on, sometimes if you don’t fix it your vehicle will go into limp mode. The reason I know this is because I do work for a dodge dealer and see it the wheel speed sensors fail on V6 chargers/challengers and excessively lifted trucks and keeps

Hub bearings are bad they will cause the ABS sensor to trip while you drive. Jack it up then shack the wheel from side to side. Any looseness will tell you if they are are bad and like I say will trip your ABS sensor while rolling down the road
