7 days at 4000+ cals a day surplus so close to 30k surplus in a week. I mean if You really wanna bowl can do an experiment at least do something reasonable like for example gonna thousand calorie surplus and eat 5000 cal a day for 30 days this would result in the same net 30,000 cal surplus but at least it would be healthier to do this over a period of 30 days rather than force your body into fatness over seven days. You don’t need to Do experiments with your body to prove things that we already know which is if you force feed that many calories above your maintenance you’re going to gain a shit ton of body fat and it’s not healthy in any way

Dude. this takes me back to when I was competing as a powerlifter. I had to force feed myself around 6000-6500 Cal's every for around 6 months. Then eventually brought it back it down to a sensible maintenance which is around 3500-4000. I lost size but my strength was massively impacted. The reason why you felt like crap most of the time is because your body was not utilizing the energy. If you were to increase it gradually say go from 4000 to 4500 then 5, etc it would be a progressive build up of energy and weight = strength. Good footage though buddy keep it up 👍👍👍👍

So the whole hard gainer thing, I went from 62kg to 105kg, however within the last year is where I’ve made the biggest jump. I went from 86kg to 105kg and at 187cm tall. I’ve switched up the training and nutrition. I have high protein min 231 max 300, average 250. Carbs always around 500g, no less and a minimum of 4.5L of water a day. The 3:1 water to carb ration gets me that full look. The fats from nuts, meats, milk do give me a little bit of a belly but my midsection has always been somewhat good at least. Maximising the pump and lifting heavy is what I switch in between as well as upper lower and then full body. The rest from gym and being at the gym is all times etc. So now I’ve come to a conclusion that all this hard gainer and all the morophs are a load of shit. Correct me if I am wrong but the morphs are meant to be given to you from birth, whereas I’ve changed my whole body type, grated I’ve started working out from late age of 16 to now 21. I know genetics play a role but I’ve always been more of a guy that could lift big rather than look big, and now I am both

So if you’re not trying to become just fat, it really doesn’t make sense. The Results in muscle grow weren’t different between the group who ate the optimal kcal they needed and the one who ate way more. The main difference was that the people who ate more gained more fat.

This is the exact reason why bulking is overrated, you can't just keep increasing the rate at which you gain muscle mass by eating more. Our bodies don't work that way.

can you do the next time i eat half my diet for a week so 2000 caloriees a day
@srirachacola6579 Жыл бұрын
Imagine gaining a measly 7 pounds from eating 8,000 calories a day for a week. While people like me, gain 10+ pounds eating a 1,000 calorie cheat meal for one day. He's gifted.

Imagine trying to "stay shredded" while being a twig and wasting so much muscle gain potential to look like a skeleton. Whats the point of being shredded with no muscle
@iRam8UnderScore4 жыл бұрын
@@Culterin Agree! It just looks like an anorexic person tbh. Being in a surplus provides such a better environment for optimal growth in muscle and strength compared to being shredded and eating in a deficit.

@@iRam8UnderScore It's a trap so many young people getting into lifting fall into. They see their idols on social media seem like they're shredded all the time, when most actually just take a ton of pics when at their leanest and then keep uploading them and think oh I wanna be shredded year round too. Sure a small amount of people stay very lean year round but not only is it incredibly tough but also a very inefficient state to be in to build muscle, but they've already grown a lot over the years so maybe they are okay with maintaining, while the young kids literally haven't even built a base and want to get shredded and just end up wasting time lol.
@christiansehlmeyer71494 жыл бұрын
Why do feel the need to stay shredded year round. You don’t even look like you lift with a shirt on . Why do you want to feel terrible, intentionally limit your lifting progress, look a skeleton with little to no muscle and possibly stunt your growth

hey joe, i recently started training again after having lost most of my gains during the lockdown. I am currently training 3 days a week and doing a full body split. I will probably carry this on until next year june/july. when i start to train with a bro split, would that limit the muscle i wold be able to gain. Love the content btw
@ilost20374 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't have thought so, just continue training harder than last time with progressive overload, and eat your diet consistently
@yusufpatel68184 жыл бұрын
@@ilost2037 thanks bro 👍
@ATaylor92234 жыл бұрын
If your not progressing in some way shape or form your not growing or making gains its simple, you have to challenge the body if you want it to change which is why you progressively do more than last time
@andrewpayne50934 жыл бұрын
The muscle you lost will come back quickly, it’s called muscle memory. They will grow back twice as fast to were they originally were before you started loosing it before you stopped training. And just stick to the 3x a week split. If your building muscle on it why change it ? More days in the gym doesn’t always mean more growth. It would be better to go 3x a week so each muscle group is being trained hard with compound movements 3 times a week with a rest between each workout for recovery rather then training muscles 2x a week on a bro split, which if done wrong like adding to many exercises for each muscle group will lead to overtraining.

I think it's time people realize you don't have to eat a lot to gain muscle mass. Only reason people think they do is because bulking makes you fat and therefore you get bigger, whereas slow muscle gains are hard to notice when comparing day to day.
