If your skid plates ever get bent or "ripped", there are other aftermarket boron steel or even TITANIUM skid plates you can put underneath to get even better bottom coverage. In terms of extra gear, ALWAYS buy TWO extra 20 Gallon Jerry Cans you fix to the back of the Jeep for more fuel range AND I would suggest buying FOUR Go-Pro cameras with at least two 4 Gigabyte SSD external hard disk drives so you can RECORD 4K resolution 60 fps video from the front, back and sides of all your off-road adventures. The Go-Pro camera setup is ALSO used for grabbing that MILLION DOLLAR SET OF CRYSTAL CLEAR PHOTOS of a family of Sasquatches (i.e. Bigfoot) looking with envy at your cool new Jeep! oh! Once manufacturers switch over to Aluminum-Air batteries that are safer and much higher power (i.e. 4x up to 8x more charge than Li-Ion) the range problems will go away. A higher end Aluminum-Air battery taking up the entire front end where the gas engine goes now and some space within a "skateboard" frame-rail assembly of a Jeep Rubicon level Wrangler, should allow it to go AT LEAST 1600 km (1000 miles!). In about 5-to-7 years when newer formulations of the Aluminum-Air batteries start being tested in public, I expect the range to get into the 2500 km (1500 miles!) range on one charge! v

Not that it will be game changer but I wonder if throwing 800W Solar Panels on top will give it a few extra miles.

Which battery supplier is powering the new electric jeep? Microvast?

Does the gas engine also have the ability to charge the battery too ?

I think electric is great off-road more torque lower counter of gravity BUT you can’t go off-roading with a jerrycan of battery or get a big portable charger so if you run out of battery in the middle of a trail that is going to be horrible to pull back done the trail who agrees with me on that stand point
@lalljp2 жыл бұрын
This vehicle gets a lot better gas mileage on the trail so you are less likely to run out of gas

I'll look for jeep on 4xe tflbids. need quicker charge stations have em at gas stations also.

Anyone know how many mpg the 4xe gets with the factory fox lift and 37’s? Also you stated these Jeeps can’t charge using the Tesla stations?

400 volts?! In this case "water resistant" better mean 'waterproof', though it usually doesn't!

How long does it last in hybrid mode full power, boasting all these high numbers, how long can i use those high numbers for?
@smithjones19063 жыл бұрын
I don't hate it, but the 21 mile EV range is pretty deflating. Doesn't the hybrid F-150 do more than that? So there shouldn't really be any slack given for aerodynamics or weight.

I can't see a big advantage of going out and buying one just for a few miles of electric

I have a 16 mile commute, and there is a level 2 charger at my office. This would let me do all my mountain biking, skiing, and camping while also eliminating 150 miles of gas consumption per week for my daily commute. That's 100% worth it. Different people have different needs.

I am curious how much battery it uses as torque eats AMPS Streetspeed wants to know if the EPA signed off on that water

Let the electric wars begin! The more competition, the faster we get an all electric vehicle that goes 1000 miles on a single charge and can recharge in 10 minutes.

I wonder if downhill assist can be used as a regen mode to put some energy back in the battery?
@davidcarrico33853 жыл бұрын
The 4xe does use regenerative braking to feed the battery. There is also a user selectable button for max regen that maximizes the effect and provides for 1 pedal driving to a certain extent. That feature is getting a lot of positive reviews. I really like it but wish the button was on the steering wheel rather than over by the radio.

Assuming it has a smaller gas tank does it actually have worse range than a gas Jeep or will the electric side of it help carry it farther?
@doublebackagain43113 жыл бұрын
~17.2 gallon tank. Looking forward to mileage review!

Very cool but I'll wait untill it's fully electric. P.s Before people say anything our power in New Zealand is 100% renewable at chargers and our distances are small..... but amazing

The underlying 4xe hybrid technology is proven for many years now. It's a great technology bridge between the power of the 392 [identical torque! and about 100 horses more than the Pentastar V6] and the "Magneto" concept. Let's face it, an all electric Jeep has to have charging stations on the trails, just like Tesla created its charging network to assure its customers to buy their cars for long distance travel. Also the 4xe is going to be way more efficient on a daily basis if you're commute is 20-30 miles because most of those miles will be electric only. It's possible to drive 80-90% of your miles in electric. A super efficient vehicle with great capabilities. Few compromises and lots of benefits.
