NIO ET7 does 0-100 in 3.6 seconds -> NIO not so focused on performance 🤡 You want the same performance from Mercedes you must buy the top of the range EQE AMG

I like the practicality of this car. As popular as this kind of crossover SUV is in the US I am surprised that we don’t see more EVs in this segment that are price comparable to an ICE vehicle. I don’t know what to make of Nio or Chinese made cars in general. The big three are getting more and more compilation from new competitors.

Because batteries are like 20% the price of all BEVs and even then very few are feature compaireable as most have to dcelet features because of the battry cost.

The ES8 is on the first platform. Et7 et5 es7 is on seccond. Update to platform 2.0 is coming soon. Theres different OS on the two platforms.

The story behind this passenger seat design is that in china this type of SUV is targeted as family car, often it is the Miss sitting there. It has even a name as option, the queen seat

The smartest idea nio has implemented is battery swapping stations....I hope there will be a unification of this idea so that all electric cars must be able to seapping batteries in the same way as Nio ... and in this way the battery swapping stations are completely similar to the filling stations in conventional cars

I believe (not sure) that the ES7 is a bit smaller. NIO had announced 5 new cars for 2023 and some believe that three of those will be refreshed ES8, ES6 and EC6. All speculation.

ES8 had a refresh this summer, Alder architecture, its already available as a retrofit upgrade in China. Unfortunately it hasn't been announced yet in Norway. Then sometime next year or 2024 the ES8 will be moved to the new platform, that ET7 and ES7 use (second generation). ES(L)7 is not a replacement for ES8.

NIO battery swap station third generation (which comes out 2023) will be able to effectively swap different battery pack sizes. Not sure which vehicles they will be compatible with but definitely not a limitation.

It's the queen seat. It lays basically flat. If you have young children the seat will backup on its track into the second row if you need to dispense punishment. And real chinese massage, not the euro knockoffs, lol.

Great video, I am a HUGE NIO fan and thus far ET5 & ET7 are my favourite vehicles. You have mentioned a few times about being 'watched', I would respectfully like to ask you to stop with the FUD Creating a fear-mongering perspective is a very American thing to do and the European Union would do their due diligence if there was a National security concern, today's day and age, anyone could listen or watch you in a TESLA, Audi or GM... I think you are out of touch with reality. When Lenovo was bought by a Chinese company there was soon a back door that allowed the Chinese to “tune-in” to your computer. China is a country that does not respect human rights and literally locks people in apartment buildings trying to stop the spread of covid. Recently people died in a fire because the fire department could not get them out of the building because the doors were nailed shut. Open your eyes to reality. China is not a friendly nation.

the coming NIO ES7 is better equipped by far, than the 2 mentioned. P3 has good computing power as does Nio with its 1015 Tflops vs EX90, 280Tflops. Nio will also be hardwareupgradable when new hardware arises at a later time. Plus its much quicker, have many luxury feats the other two is not even close to. Right now, upcoming EL7 ( ES7) will be hard to beat, and when its beaten maybe in 2024, you just upgrade it, batterywise, tech/hardwarewise

The first generation (ES8/ES(C)6) were refreshed in 2020, so they are not 5 years old. Infotainment upgrade and displays were updated and offered as a retrofit, drivetrain was updated as well, but not retrofitted.

The 3rd generation Nio battery swapping station will support the swap of different size of battery packages (physical size different). BTW, the front passenger seat is called "queen's seat". that seat can be pushed all the way back, creating a huge leg room area, adding the leg and foot support, it'll give you the first-class seat experience.

What limitations are you talking about you have three battery sizes,when your battery level gets low just drive to a battery swap station and swap your battery then you will be in your way. I don't see limitations.

ES8 is still nice but it is 6 or so years old. Try the ES6 and EC6. Much nicer if a little smaller (ok only 2 rows but still big). and also they just launched the ES7 in China which is also super nice.
