Last summer, when I heard the wait times for delivery of a Model 3 were starting to creep downward, I went one of their Mall showrooms to check it out, sit in one, etc. They weren't offering test drives yet, but they said I could sign up for one & when they did start doing test drives they'd send me a notice. I gave them my email but eventually I wound up renting a Model 3 through Turo from a guy several hours away and spending $150 road test the car for a few hours. Then, about a month & a half ago I get a call from Freemont, CA, asking if I was still interested in setting up an appointment to test drive a Tesla and I had to tell them not really, as I happened to be driving my own Model 3 at that moment already, and have been loving every minute of it for several months now. Their cars are truly amazing, but they definitely got a ways to go with customer service

😮 I have heard stories about how customer service can be less than ideal. Glad it worked out for you in the end, but that process can turn some people away. I feel like they have a good product so people are willing to put up with a lot just to get it!!

Yes big payment but no gas bill or oil changes plus less cost to charge. We've had our m3 dual motor long range since end of sept and really love it. Long range is needed here in Oregon because the range is less in the cold. Have taken a couple of long trips and no problems with charging. Looking to get it paid before retiring. bought auto pilot well worth it.

Awesome thanks for the info. We are in a cold climate too, with the battery already struggling in the colder conditions and the recommended 80 percent charge range starts to become very important. I didn’t want to have to deal with plugging it in except on weekends as we do not have a garage to pull into, so it would require unwinding a cord each time. It would be nice as a daily commuter to only have to plug in on weekends. Cheers

I just drove a model 3 for the first time today. I’m totally hooked and want one now. I also had a real hard time with auto pilot, it was nerve wracking not being in control of the car.

Haha, so true. I bet it would be an amazing feature in bumper to bumper traffic. Good luck with your purchase, if your spouse is anything like mine you’ll have a lot on convincing ahead! Haha thanks for watching.

Looked a great day out and I must say love the idea of the Tesla, it had me at doors opening upwards! It's a car for our time, it's great for the environment, it looks cool as hell, it has all that technology and those doors! it's also an easy release for the drone. What's not to like! As for my dream car it's a Maserati Levante diesel. I do hope all signs of Emily's aneurysm returned to normal and wish you guys well, thank you for sharing.

Haha, she was breathing heavily into a bag made of brown paper! The car is definitely cool as hell. It doesn’t really fit into our life plans down the road just based on the expense. It’s like one of those things you wish you could borrow for a month or two. Maserati sounds cool too, I have to say I’ve never really been a car guy. Hope you and yours the best.

Took me 6 months to convince my wife, we are getting one in 2 months, researched it for about 7 months. Hope you get it your wife seems really ok with it :)

I am ok with it, I be totally on board if we could get rid of this truck lease!!! It’s cool, I just don’t want the payment!

@@JEMSessionz I'm in UK and was one of the first in the World (12 hours pre US unveil) to order the Model 3, and I'm still waiting for it to be released here 3 years later!

I love all the tech bits and how you can see where cars are behind you in each lane but it's so expensive. Are there any cheaper comparative cars? When we got our latest car a few months ago, as soon as I sat in the more expensive one I knew I wanted it, we kept going back and forth and I sat in it again and just had that 'feeling', we got it. You only live once, Emily will come round (sorry Emily) if you can afford it..............
@JEMSessionz6 жыл бұрын
We can afford it, I just don’t want to be saddled with two big car payments! It’s nice, don’t get me wrong, and Justin usually gets what he wants in the end 😉 now he is talking about the model Y they are going to manufacture next! I swear 🤦♀️

Elon is trying hard to get the 35k version out by May. If he can accomplish that, this car is going to explode in sales.
@michaeljmobley6 жыл бұрын
That being said you are only going to get like 220 miles of range with a base model. With 3 cars, that needs to just be a commuting car. Road trip in one of your other 2. But I think the autopilot feature is just incredible and nothing else on the market out there is like it. And it's only going to get better through future software updates. Imagining a future where you can sit in a car and tell it to send you somewhere and it just goes on its own, that's incredible to me. And I think we are getting there sooner than later!

You forgot to account for the federal tax credit. Also, some states have incentives as well. Makes it much more affordable.
@JEMSessionz6 жыл бұрын
Our state does have a $1700 incentive as well. We were just looking at the monthly payment vs the overall cost. I am super excited to see EV adoption help drive the prices down. Tesla does offer a ton of car for the price.
@lemongavine6 жыл бұрын
JEM Sessionz - Closer to two tons, ha ha.

I think you should first pay out your truck, and then buy Tesla, cause its sounded like it will be very hard to you to pay 2 cars at ones. But, if you choosing between buying "the Jeep" for same price as Tesla, definitely go with Tesla. Your wife probably wants Jeep cause she thinks its safest type of vehicle, but Tesla is actually safest car on the road now, show her crash tests and staff.
@JEMSessionz6 жыл бұрын
Yasssss, the more ammunition the better! Haha. We have both been long fans of the Jeeps, I think it was more of a state of mind. Throw the top back and cruise! The gas mileage on them are terrible, so not a smart choice moving forward. I love the Tesla mission statement and everything the company is trying to accomplish. It kinda feels like it’s them against the world, big oil and law makers are not making it easy.

It is definitely the future. ICE engines are going to become dinosaurs because that technology just can't really improve all that much more. Electric cars and batteries are scaling at a rate of modern computing technology. Battery ranges are getting longer and cheaper year after year. We are now at a point where cars like these Teslas have ranges that aren't scarily short any more. We can road trip in them thanks to the Tesla Supercharger system. But just think when we get to a point where your standard electric vehicle has a 400-500-600 mile range, for an affordable price, it's going to change everyone over. You can already see the superior performance of electric motors. They are zippy, and fun, and add on the tech of autonomous driving and I'm just all on on this thing!
@JEMSessionz6 жыл бұрын
I have to say that I’ve become quite the fanboy as of late! I can’t wait to see a 400 plus mile range, I think that will certainly be the tipping point.
@crinnie456 жыл бұрын
p.s. that doesn't mean you have to go for it

Wow the self-drive is scary!!! I don't even like cruise control 😂The car does look cool though. My Ford Kuga is an All 4 vehicle but not sure what it does 🤯 I would like an electric car or at least a hybrid. I think it is crazy expensive for a Tesla (sorry Justin) Mission Space 🙄
@JEMSessionz6 жыл бұрын
LoL mission space pushes you back if you opt for the more intense version! I stand by my comparison 😂😂

JEM Sessionz I can’t comment on Mission Space I guess because I have never done it 🤣 I’ll give you that one. I was just laughing because Alice says I always refer to everything in life as a Disney reference 🤣
