I thinks it looks really good. Love the color. I'm sure the color will take more the second time around. I usually use 2 boxes to color my hair just to make sure I get full coverage because natural hair is just thicker. Love following your loc journey. I want to loc mine too

So I am starting my loc journey! I have have two strand twist for about 3weeks now. I was wondering, how long did you wait to retwist your hair? I love the fact that your doing this on ur own, they charge wayyyy too much for starter locs...

Hi, I did my first retwist after 6 weeks and even now I still retwist about every 6 weeks. From my research 4-6 weeks is pretty standard for retwisting, I definitely wouldn't retwist any sooner than 4 weeks.

I'm loc'd five years and have never colored it. But I made an appointment to do it on my next retwist. I would never color my hair myself as I dont want to damage my hair.. Your results came out nice though!

I’m thinking about starting my loc journey however I want to dye them the same day that I do my starter locs, is that bad since colored hair needs more moisture what should I do? Or should I wait?

I’ve just started my loc journey on virgin hair, but will say that part of locing your hair means moisturizing it. I typically go in with a spray bottle of water and oil every morning! Idk if this helps you or not
