BRITNEY IS SO SWEET AND FUNNY PETITION TO HAVE MORE BRITNEY APPEARANCES IN FUTURE EPISODES omg korean food always looks so pretty and varied and difficult to make but i think just like with all asian food, once you have the few basic elements ready you can really make any dish? my mind is blown with the creative use of the microwave (including the sock) lovedddd this episode because i missed steve! Yup! Like most culture's food, it's a rotating cast of the same ingredients and processes in slightly different ways. I haven't cooked much Korean food (I'm still trying to source authentic ingredients), but it's basically just using what you have in the house for the most part. It's super basic, super delicious, and super easy!

I definitely feel like Shane has a good chance because he's such a wild card. He'd either go all the way or get taken out immediately because of a really random decision. His utter lack of fear would serve him very well though! I think Steven's competitive nature COULD get him far, but it could also be his downfall as well. Ryan might be okay, if he goes full Ricky Goldsworth. Loved the episode too! I'm definitely gonna try some of this! Microwave miso and rice sounds like a really satisfying and easy lunch.

I really enjoyed this, and there's a ton of potential for where they can take the show. Personally, I'd love to hear more about the subjects' lives and cultures, their stories behind the food, etc. A live conversation rather than a pre recorded segment would also be cool. Steven's always seemed to be interested in the "people side" of food, and I agree that that's the best part about shows like this!

A very light show with food and laughs that makes me comfortable enough to put it on when i need to eat but don´t really want to focus on the fact that I'm eating. I´ll always appreciate the food shows here at watcher, especially since I normally used them to have company while I´m eating. Quick tteokbokki recipe for my fellow lazy people in the comments. This one actually tastes more like street food tteokbokki than properly made tteokbokki. Gochugaru is difficult to find in some places so if I'm feeling hungry I just skip it lol Soak rice cakes in warm water. 1 tbsp gochujang 1 tbsp brown sugar/agave nectar 1 tbsp soy sauce Salt to taste 1 cup veg stock Boil. Once it boils add rice cakes. Let boil or 6-7 minutes till it thickens. Add fish cakes/tofu sheets (if you wanna make it vegan) 1 or 2 mins before. Add cheese (optional) & cover w/ lid to melt. Edit: oop I forgot boil an egg while all of this is going on. You can add ramyun noodles to it too if you're feeling hungry but you need to be mindful of the timing or they get soggy and gross

I've been out of college for a while, but I had morning class days, and no class days. If I had class I would put a slice of bacon cut in half in my skillet, and add an egg once there was a little grease. I put all of that on a piece of toast and walked out the door. I usually made stew in my crock pot. Which was potatos(reds are actually pretty nutritious), carrots, stew meat, and seasonings, but you mix it up however you wanted. A pot of stew was generally enough for 2 or 3 meals, and I could shove my whole crockpot in the fridge. Non class days, I would make malt o meal, with an unhealthy amount of sugar(I'll admit it was probably more sugar and butter the actual food), and toast. Sometimes I would make bacon, but I only had one pan, so I'd of had to clean it and then make the bacon. Lunch was tuna sandwiches, but, I just put the mix in a bowl and ate it with goldfish and extra pickles and onions. And usually more stew for dinner. Or I would take noodle packets and add vegetables to them, with a little extra seasoning. And my snack/meal was french fries with cheese and bacon on top(but they changed how they made my frozen fries and I haven't bought any since). I basically only eat the stew still. If I want vegetables I roast them in the oven(garlic, garlic salt, and butter, wrapped in aluminum foil, then toss lightly so the butter can coat everything).

I enjoy the episodes with Steve, great personality! I turned 21 in Korea :-) while on KP, washing dishes and skinning potatoes, because my replacement didn't show up I did an extra day on KP. I walked around town drinking SoJu, eating Perogi's (Kegogi?) and traded K-rations for moon pies. I asked the sweet elderly Korean lady what was in the Kegogi and she just went Woof Woof Woof. I said.... oh my god. But it tasted soooo good. Met an amazing Seoul college student there and after a month I wanted to marry her so very much. Sadly my deployment ended early and we lost touch. I called her once I got back home and some other guy answered the phone :-( The people from Wanju were such nice people. I loved it there. I have been trying to learn to make more Korean style meals and this video was a great help. Thank you!

This is really great. I love to see how other people eat in a day so I have a feeling I'll love this show and that was the perfect first episode since I also love Korean culture.

Who would do well at Squid Games? Hm, depends on the game. Game One (Red Light Green Light): None of them would do well. Ryan would get cocky, make an enemy and get shoved, Shane is way to gangly to ever be perfectly still and Steven would double guess himself and run out of time before crossing the line. Game Two (Sugar Honeycomb): Steven would win hands down. He's a chef, he knows his shit - he would have figured out the licking technique within the first few seconds, or at the very least understand the cookie texture better than the others. Shane is a lucky boy 90% of the time so he'd probably get through okay. Ryan would get impatient and would antagonise the shit out of the guards which means he'd probably get shot. That or Ryan would try to sabotage the other contestants, and probably get shot. Game Three (Tug of War): If they were all on the same team, they'd all die. they'd be way to busy arguing about dumb shit like whether yellow is a good colour and forget to focus on pulling the rope. On different teams, Steven would make it out okay seeing as he's the most cooperative and sociable, Shane might be okay and Ryan would not be okay he'd be trash talking the other team and his own teammates would hate him. Game Four (Marbles): Ryan would 100% win, he would pull all the tricks out of the bag. Shane might outsmart his opponent or he might spend the thirty minutes napping idk could go either way for him. Steven is way too nice but if he went apeshit he might pull through. Game Five (Hopscotch): Ryan would pick number one and die immediately. Shane and Steven would go for middle numbers, but idk if they'd live. Shane could use his giant body and bridge across the panels without ever touching the glass. Steven... Yeah, he's probably fucked ngl Game Six (Squid Game): Shane and Steven would get their shit wrecked. Ryan would take down his opponent in like... ten seconds. Then he'd annoy the guards and get shot. (Just to clarify, this is all /j)

Loved this video!!!! I can't wait to see more. Food brings so many people together and allows us to have a voice in ways that is universal. To show love, community, and sometimes making genius foods when we wanna be lazy. The simple things can just be as amazing as multiple step recipes. Thank you, everyone!!

I'm taking 2 things away from this video. 1 - I really need to include more Korean food into my cooking rotation. I absolutely hate fish (which there seems to be a lot of) but all the other flavours which are right in my wheelhouse might be a way for me to get it in. 2 - I need to go get some peach ice tea immediately because that drink sounds amazing.

Alright I am loving this! I just saw two of my favorite dishes I love to eat on a regular basis in one episode. Can we make it a series with different college students from different countries? Oh and P.S. I am loving Brittney & Carter💛💛💛💛 & Shoutout to Darcie for having great taste in food!
