I really miss the methodical, deliberate pace of the ground game in SF5. The way modern FGs are trending these days, I don't know if we'll ever see this pace again...

With all due respect, 1. Doesn't this get said every fighting game cycle? From my understanding the gameplay of SF5 s1 was rough as well. 2. Isn't SF6 literally still on its first balance patch? @@tropicalpenguin4668 Don't you think that's a little too extreme of a statement? Drive rush can be nerfed in multiple ways. Not to mention, the drive meter management shenanigans may be unbalanced now but in the future they could really make neutral shine in the future. I think drive is being maligned the same way the v trigger system was. Which proves to me, now that sf5 is missed, that this is cyclical.

@@ekwensu8797not really, unless drive rush is nerfed to be nearly un-usable, it is and always will be a neutral skip. It is quite literally the picture book definition of the term. You spring across the screen and the opponent has a 10th of a second to react or they're forced to eat a strike/throw mix.

@@tropicalpenguin4668 What I'm saying is that the drive system creates risk reward as a result of the punishment you suffer in burnout. If/when (hopefully) drive rush gets nerfed and it can't get spammed, it means that using it will become a part of the push and pull the drive system creates when it comes to decisiom making, which IS a fun part of the game. With tweaks to both drive rush and drive gain/loss rates, using drive rush can present risk to the user as well because the lower your gauge, the closer to burnout. Drive rush may be a neutral skip but given a few tweaks of the drive system, the combination of traditional sf footsies and the already cool decision making scenarios the drive system creates will result in a game that is entertaining. Just like sf5 needed a few tweaks.

And still playing sf5 I miss trigger and Vskill, sick of drive rush and boring roster in sf6. I like sf6 but I'm bored. No Urien,no samurai,No M.Bison,no Sagat, no Balrog, no dudley,no vega, no ibuki, no Cody, no Dan or Sean or Laura. No G or Q. I'm bored of sf6. I thank Allah we can go back and play sf5, and tons of other kickass fighting games. Tekken 8 is da first tekken I prefer over a street fighter game and dat disgusts me. Sf6 is a smoother game for sure over tekken 8. But tekken 8 is just more fun overall.

SF5 was a great introduction to 2D fighting games. It made Teaching fundamentals very well in this game. With the punished counterspacing counterhead combos, it. Also taught the new player about frames. In frame data as having most medium punches plus on block. Most people didn't like this game because it lacked player expression. When playing at the highest level There was not very many things. You could do to distinguish yourself from other players That being said capcoms, entire point of making street fighter five was making an accessible game for the new generation of players and in that they succeeded in my eyes

this game is fun, but i would go for sf6, besides the singleplayer you will only find few people playing, the netcode is trash and everyone playing are probably veterans. This game was great to teach fundaments and all i sorry you missed, in sf6 there are some tools that allows you to skip neutral a lot, but besides that is a much better game. Dont be afraid of losing, will happens a lot, but its the only way to learn, give it a shot. If you dont mind playing the AI sf5 is a great buy too, you can get it very cheap with all characters, stages and skins, and you can learn in a safe enviroment, when you feel like you are ready go for sf6, you will not waste your time learning 5 because these games has so much legacy skill between them.
