Trif just updated the deck even more (Ryzeal are just a stronger bridge to fiendsmith) and made a list probably just better than this. The concept is the same, but declined better

I was wondering what was your Maliss game plan when I saw the feature matches. I'm very glad you topped, and more importantly kept a level-headed approach even under the bad possible matchups. I feel like this format is going to be mainly assessments towards the better decks in the format and being comfortable with maining/siding patterns versus them. Congratz on the top, and I think no one will dissagree when we say, you are the Fiendschmidt!

Honestly FS like this feels so fine, sure I also use it as an engine in other decks - but in its "pure" form it feels like such a interactive deck - thats doing a lot but not in a single turn. Hope Engraver still drops in price :/ anyway - thanks for the great performance, that Feature Match vs Landon was insane, I feel like I learned so much from just watching that. Hope to see more Fiendsmith content on the channel :) Take care and nice travel/vacation!

Unfortunately there has been someone one step ahead both YCSs. First one Matthieau, with basically a list more similar to this, but one tournament before. Then Trif, with always the same concept, but a more uptaded version of it. Good job still

My suggestions : Remove all Sanct , normal summoning a musketeer produce way more "advantage" in the sense that you will end with 2 more light fiends in the GY providing you 1 extra interception and more options for the following turn. Its not that its not a starter but it can also easily become a brick under the wrong conditions and being at almost top deck mode isn't uncommon for this deck. That being said , i would also remove 1-2 musketeer monsters and i would stick at playing the two level 4 due to Chaos Angel. I feeling that the best way to play the deck is with 20+ handtraps. I don't like purge , its good but i hate it - not gonna elaborate on that. I believe that you should have main at least 2 drolls because it also counter fuwalos. Ghost Belle is also kinda relevant in this format. In the ED : haven't tested Elvozar and honestly i wonder if its worth so i will test it . I would remove Aerial Eater and played 2 Sequence instead for 2 reasons : 1.in case it gets banished by a bystial etc... and 2. For mind games but tbh i also think that one is "probably" the correct call. Congratulations 😀

hey josh, I was one of the other fiendsmith players in top (guy with no tract, 2 sanct bc of a decklist error and the kirby sweater). Did you play against the fiendsmith version of Ryzeal at all? That felt like the worst matchup I played at the tournament and wanted to see if you had thoughts on it. I was 0-2 into the fiendsmith version and 5 or 6-0 into pure.

I use you same hand trap except for ghost ogre and belle, at them place I use fuwalos, and 3 talent and called by the grave are top, I think this cards are obligatory this format

Is a Maliss Sky Striker board breaker blind second deck playable in the new format? I am working on one that takes out the cyberse extra deck monsters that are for link climbing like splash mage and the link-5 for more board breakers in the extra deck. I also do not like that part of cyberse.

I feel like that would just blunt the main edge of the deck which is the high ceiling it has. Like it or not but Terraherz is one hell of a card and a very natural end piece for the combo since you really want to go through most of your malice Links turn onne so you can resummon White Binder on your opponents turn which then buries them in card advantage. And without those link climbing tools that will be much harder if not impossible. No to mention that you lose even harder to Lancea. At least with the combo version you can go Splash Mage into Link Decoder into Transcode Talker into Terraherz for 2 interuptions + some hand traps (provided you drew an extender). With the other version you just pass on the spot.

I understand why the Musketeers in this deck but it still feels like wasted potential not to use their main gimmick which is playing their traps from hand. At least their counter trap could've been very useful and the fact that Max can get them.

I feel like going forward Ryzeal will lose representation and will struggle more as people build the deck to beat it. In the long run Maliss will be the best, less vulnerable to hand traps and board breakers.
