Genya is my #1 fav anime character of all time so I would have put him on top ⚠️SPOILER⚠️ THE FACT THAT HE DIED KILLED ME😭

1. Tanjiro - He took this spot from Zenitsu, after the Entertainment District arc. He's been getting better for me from that point on and that moment when he sees himself pinned down in Gyutaro's position to his inner monologue of "...I hope someone in the Demon Slayer Corp would do me the FAVOUR of decapitating me"🔥 that made sense as to why he feels sorry for them and why he doesn't hesitate to kill them. Also him in S3 finale, his character 👌 2. Zenitsu - He's episode "You must master a single thing", is my second favorite in S1 and I just love the idea behind his character: someone with all the potential in the world just held back by fear (I LOVE it). I've been impatient about that flip and S4 ep7 did something which I hope will be amazing. 3. Inosuke - He's loveable with a complete picture of his backstory, but just the subtle developments we've been getting with his character has been amazing. 4. Nezuko-chan💙 - Her importance to the story can be found in how Gotouge wrote her & her brother as the standard of comparison especially in the Entertainment District arc or the end of Swordsmith Village arc (her & Muzan) and how she's the prime example of the story's theme of "selflessness vs selfish acts". Just like everyone else I want more of her, but every time she's in the story I've loved it all. 5. Genya - His development has been wholesome, I love his recent interactions with Tanjiro and it was heartbreaking seeing how small/sad Sanemi makes him feel. 6. Kanao was interesting in the S1 Butterfly mansion little recovery/training arc and the way she lights up when she's next to Tanjiro is adorable... I can't wait to see more of her character.

I love Kanao so much I especially loved it when she constantly roasted Douma, i was laughing so hard when I read that 😭.

Your statement that people don't understand certain characters is so true. The same people who whine that the characters are basic are the ones who don't understand them and spit false information about them. The whole squad is a group of good characters with everyone having a big role and great payoff in the story.

1.Nezuko 2.Kanao 3.Tanjiro 4.Zenitsu 5.Inosuke 6.Genya Keep in mind Nezuko, Kanao, and Tanjiro are also my top 3 characters overall and I don’t dislike any of these characters

The saddest part of all is that people from their own country, Japan, have forgotten their traditions and past + foreigners jump into it = kimetsu no yaiba... Just like other mangaka, the author also is a character in life, but the only difference is that the author of Kimetsu no Yaiba is reluctant to lose to the production house or market/audience demands...again sad. Im not japanese and my eng so bad, my apologise...

I was just doing a personal ranking on my favourite demon slayer characters... The top 5 was soo hard to rank, because all of them switch places every few days. Except for my number one. Lol
