When I saw the Garages, I was intrigued. Detroit has a lot to offer, they have to approach it smartly.

As a contractor Ive done some interior painting on a few units at City Modern when they were brand new. They were all white and owners wanted some color on the walls. One owner paid around $850K for and end unit so Id say shes doing well if theyre going for 1.2Million + ... I've also done bath remodeling work at an older brownstone type condo a block away. I painted the address numbers on City Modern as well. They were stainless steel. HOA board wanted them black for visibility.

Been living downtown in Lafayette Park for 16 years, we have an incredible view in our high-rise on the 19th floor ,corner glass ,overlooking the whole city, the nighttime view is absolutely incredible and we love it, there is so much to do. We feel very safe and have extremely nice neighbors, lovely parks, and bike paths, grocery stores, walk to all pro sports, theaters, qline to DIA, walk to Eastern market, restaurants and anything else you could ask for , very very satisfied. we always laugh so much when suburbanites are telling us how dangerous it is to live here and how unsafe it is. They haven’t a clue. They don’t even live anywhere near us, it’s kind of like us telling them what their neighborhood is like. Too funny. We go to visit them and we can’t wait to come back home quite frankly ,after looking at the traffic jams and strip malls, and endless sub divisions, not the least bit stimulating at all.

It would have been nice to name the neighborhood - Brush Park. Honestly, the vibe on this vid is you don’t really believe what’s happening in area. As a Realtor KZbinr you might want to get behind the movement instead of this sense of incredulousness we’re getting? Just a thought.

This condo sucks. Overpriced, unimaginative and behind the times in technology. A natural gas furnace? Seriously? In fifteen to twenty years there won’t be any gas appliances used anymore. The design and architecture is horrible and cheap/prefab looking. For a million??! Buy a nice old house in Woodbridge, SW or even the east side and spend way less to rehab and modernize the tech in it. And to the commenter who said Detroit is dangerous, that’s pretty ridiculous. I was here in the 80s when that was true. I feel much more uneasy and in danger when I’m in certain suburbs, downriver, or worse, small towns in the west side of the state.
