I'm in Waterford and we don't have any public transpiration. We do have tons of lakes though. Michigan is also one of those states that doesn't really have major disasters. No huge tornados, hurricanes, big earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanos, etc. We just get snow. We also have over 100 waterfalls and some of the most stunning scenery in Michigan, not to mention the Great Lakes that look like oceans without the sharks.

This house is tacky and ostentatious. From 22 million to 6 million says it all.

Hi Paul I live in Denmark/Scandinavia, and the house is a bit like a Danish house, but our houses in Denmark are mostly on one level and not at all as big as the one you show here. Our house is 152 sq m plus double garage, which probably corresponds to about 1650 sq ft in the size of the house alone. The price for this in Denmark is about 620,000 dollars. One thing that surprises us Danes in relation to the layout of American houses is that you go directly into the living room or dining room from the front door, and that a closet for coats, shoes, etc. is in the middle or a bit away from the front door. Why don't people in America make a closet or an entrance by the front door, so you can get rid of your outerwear BEFORE you enter the house. Of course there is a difference, I just lack the logic that the closet for outerwear is in the middle of the house, for example on a winter or rainy day, you have to drag your wet outerwear all the way through the house instead of hanging it up right away. Sorry for my long comment, and thanks for some good videos.

Thanks for the insight! Most older homes here in the US are designed more like what you described - my home has closets on each side of the front door and the living room & kitchen are at the back. I think people lean more towards these layouts because we don't typically come in through the front door and enter from the garage 🤷‍♂️

At 16:47 you can see condensation on the bottom of the guest room window. Are these low-quality windows, or is there moisture management issues inside this model home?

Third floor was most likely nusery and maid's and nannies quarters! The first large open room on 3rd may have been a ballroom...my sister owns an old home and her complete 3rd floor was a ballroom and coat area

My issue is that the bathrooms are severely lacking. Like you said, I'm 6'2" so I'm sensitive to the dimensions of a bath tub. I'm shocked there's no whirlpool or large soak tub. And all but one bathroom has a dinky tub and toilet. Maybe take some of all that closet space and add a sauna/jacuzzi? I guess a sauna in the basement would be an option.

Hard to say if the price is fair having never had a house built. But if you bought a house like that in Oakland County, $650K would be a fair price. Again, location matters as much as the house. What are the costs above building the house?

That side kitchen is really odd. On one hand it reminds me of the old 1930s mansions that tried to isolate the kitchen from the dining area. I mean, you can almost imagine the help cooking in that side kitchen so you don't have to see them. But then it has an open kitchen which contradicts that idea. Are there multiple options? Like a closed kitchen versus an open kitchen? I get the idea of a closed kitchen, but the house isn't especially large that you'd have a staff cooking for you.

When I see the carpet on the 1st floor bathroom, I'm thinking sound-proofing. LOL. No one eating in the dining room wants to hear what's going on in the bathroom.
