A couple of notes here... 1. The homeless guy nailed it when he said we won't have a choice. Having a choice is what matters most. Cashless isn't really the problem, it's our ability to opt out and use something that isn't in the control of banks and governments. 2. An RFID microchip in your hand by itself doesn't really pose any additional risk compared to a card in your wallet. It's just an ID after all. The real issue is when that ID is linked to your identity in a government database (or captured entity) and they use it to control your access to things. Again, it's about choice and control. That's the dangerous dystopian path we don't want to go down.

Yep. It's going to be a way to not only control and track spending habits but also control free speech. A cashless system, digital currency and ID, facial recognition, carbon/green card, social credit system, and 15-minute cities. The government is doing away with private ownership through pricing people out of the market, so we will be completely reliant on the government for transport, accommodation, and food. I live in regional VIC. Our area has unreliable electricity supply, to the point in which the major stores have invested in massive diesel generators as a backup for power outages. When the power goes out, the whole retail and industrial sector shuts down waiting for the power to be reconnected. You cannot pay using eftpos during these times. Cash is the only option, otherwise the whole town comes to a standstill. The government tells us that we should expect more extreme weather events in the future. Extreme weather events often result in a loss of electricity supply, and yet they want us to stop using cash(?) Well come up with a better solution.

Even if we agreed to a cashless society, we are not even close. Just this week I couldn't buy a coffee at a roadside business, I couldn't pay for food at a restaurant in town because the wifi was out, then I went to the only two ATMs in the area which were also down, this is in a major tourist area. Not to mention rural areas, during power outages, financial network outages, provider outages or even when you lose your cards and need cash for a few days to survive. Most Boomers and older generations don't change habits easily and they stick to what they have always done. Some lack confidence with new technology and will probably never use it. Many on low incomes and pensions have learnt that it is easier to budget using cash. Many got into debt using cards as it is much easier to spend without realising the impact. As a Boomer, most of my social circles including many in their 40s and 50s are committed to using cash most of the time. There are certainly organised groups around the country who are opposing the cashless society. These mainly older people will be a formidable force against this control agenda. I even saw a report on MSM about an organised group of elderly people in Queensland! Legacy media does not usually report such things.so I take that as an indicator that this force has become too big for them to deny.

Mum and l tried our best to care fir him till l had to carry him on my back. Since then we’ve had no choice but to place him in a home. I wasted 3 hrs in his bank to open up another joint account. To see to all of his needs. Recently l went to the bank to deposit my own money into my joint act..To only have the card sucked into the machine and my money in my account all vanish?? I've been one of many against this for a long time. It's not about convenience it's about control sold to us under the guise of convenience. That woman with the chip complained of carrying cards yet has a purse big enough to live out of. Cash is untraceable, allows freedom over spending without a digital footprint, no data trail, and can't be frozen. With cash, freedom would always exist, and the Beast system couldn't be implemented. We've already seen so-called leaders freeze accounts of dissidents. Going cashless is a way to have complete control over your money and spending habits. It pairs perfectly with a digital ID, central digital currency, carbon/greencard, smart and 15 minute cities, and points/social crediting system. If you go against the government, speak out online, or simply don't tow the line, you can have your assets frozen and deducted.

I am in New Zealand and have recently switched to using cash to try and curve my spending. However, I have noticed more and more places are not accepting cash each week. I have less places to go for for coffee etc. It is driving me nuts. I even went to the Bnz bank here and they advised that half of their branches are now cashless this Ifind nuts.
