That's why Trevor is much more needed in MLB (I hate MLB now, they are too political and act like the mafia trying to setup Trevor with that hooker) that some tool like Garret Cole, who goes out thinking that playing baseball is a job. I really hate that mentality...that's why some players just look unhappy all the time (Cole) and some players look like they're having fun (Trevor)....to quote Jack Elliot - "baseball's a game and games are supposed to be fun".
@johnthomas14228 ай бұрын
Top of the 5th. You've got 5 strike outs, a shut out, and your team is up by 2. You haven't thrown many pitches and have only given up 1 base on the day. What do you do? You miss the location of a curveball causing a popup instead of a strikeout, which infuriates you, messing up your entire rythm. Hearing your analysis of situations like this is really enlightening. You hold yourself to such a high standard, nothing short of perfect is good enough. What makes this a unique experience, though, is hearing you relive the moment and point out your own mistakes. Not many people analyze their own performance publicly and point out their own flaws. You are a unique person, Trevor Bauer, and you deserve to be in the mlb.

These commentated videos are revolutionary. Every single aspiring youth pitcher/catcher should be watching these and understand how unique these videos are. I have been around the game for 40 years and have never seen any videos as informative in my life. These should be saved in the national archives. Amazing amazing amazing I love watching these videos. My playing days are over but as a purist and coach I have learned so much what a professional pitcher and catcher is doing during a game on the mound. Now if we could have a professional hitter do the same type of videos. Absolutely priceless! You are a revolutionary legend Trevor and everyone loves it.

I never realized pitcher vs batter was like chess. So much more to the game than I thought.
@johnthomas14228 ай бұрын
Chess isn't that good of an analogy. It used to be like chess when pitchers threw 3 or 4 different pitches that were all unique to each other. They performed like different pieces on the board. Now, the pitches a pitcher learns are all identical to eachother until they either break or don't break. It would be like trying to play chess but having all the pieces look exactly the same. Trevor can throw 3 different pitches to the corner, have the batter believe they are all 3 the exact same pitch, and have all 3 be totally different finishing locations. They call it the tunnel. The ball leaves the hand and travels down the exact same tunnel until making the batter believe it is an identical pitch. Modern baseball innovation, if you ask me. Nobody in the 90's was talking about pitch tunnel, and pitch overlay. It's a new game. End rant.
@aden5383 ай бұрын
@@johnthomas1422 nah, "tunneling" not modern at all, and is a very basic pitching technique. Once a young pitcher gets control of their location, literally the next thing to learn is how to mix up pitches and speeds, and how throwing different pitches in the same location can confuse the batter.

Trevor is the best ambassador for baseball. Unfortunately, the MLB is run by Woke executives who don't care about the health of baseball. Being an exceptional player matters less than the requirement to tow the company line. As long as the Woke executives would rather lose I doubt Trevor will ever return to the MLB. I appreciate these videos more than any current MLB broadcast. This could be the greatest MLB story ever told. Companies like Disney lead the way in destroying their own brand.
