This video was more inspiring for me, than any other "how I passed" video out there. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on how to look at one failure. Especially I like the attitude that failing (by not using dumps) is better than passing with the help of dumps. Wish you good luck for future exams. Waiting for another video... But this time it would be "how I passed ..." 👍🏻

i love your attitude in this video. Great job and I hope you are doing great since this video. I had a great interview in December with Amazon getting a technical position. Then just recently interviewed for a different position at another local and I bombed so hard, I felt it was one of the worst interviews on my part. But you know what, I got the job anyway. Something about my attitude in the interview appealed to the interviewer. But like you said I am continuing to study and learn new skills and look for the next opportunity.

Howdy. I just failed mine as well, scored 470. Been pushing hard at it the past three weeks, but used it very lightly before. I took many tech exams, this is my first failure. My confidence going in was so-so, but I was telling myself it's the usual butterflies, always turned out ok before. I finished it with 40 mins to spare and then reviewed it all... I truly thought I did enough to pass. Anyway. I won't bother with a retake anytime soon, focusing on other tech, but the studying pressure was a good base to continue building on. As for resources, I first used the video course from LinkedIn Learning, then Christine Bresnahan from Udemy, plus a few popular YT channels (Shawn Powers, DJ Ware, others' random videos). Of course I also ran various test VMs and practiced the commands and worked with the files/directories. Didn't try any books and don't plan to, never used them. I guess the most annoying thing with this exam is learning all the command options and file paths... the courses show you some options, but you're expected to dig deeper yourself. In the real world, you'd just query the options and search the files, as you'd probably know the commands themselves and the filenames. Sigh. Onwards!

@SupreetSinghsuppi
@SupreetSinghsuppi 3 жыл бұрын
@@MadeByGPS PopOs is a sweetheart, and I just love it. With that being said, I believe it is also important for me to grow as a programmer and a Linux user, so I moved to Manjaro. PopOs is amazing, but at the end of the day it is based on Ubuntu and it can be restrictive in some cases. Hence I chose to move. Arch distros offer a lot more freedom and I can experiment more with them.

@HeikkiKetoharju
@HeikkiKetoharju 3 жыл бұрын
@@MadeByGPS Well, Arch distros are more unstable and require more manual tweaking than Pop. It may be a good idea to try installing Arch to a virtual machine, but for a beginner it's quite laborious task! I tried installing Arch after four years of Linux usage. It was an interesting experience! However, learning modern sysadmin stuff and installing Arch are a little bit different skillsets. But you might know more about internals of Linux system.
