A good examiner knows when someone messes up because they are nervous and when someone doesn't know the rules. Being examined is very stressful and people make mistakes they normally wouldn't. Fair play to the examiner.

I think EVERY examiner should make you feel calm. Laugh with you a bit and get you to feel loose. Comfortable! At the beginning of your test. That way you’ll know if you failed because you were going in nervous. Don’t be! Be confident!

Honestly I think it was very fair that the instructor told her not to go that way. I've been driving for about 2 years now and even I didn't even see that sign. If they wanted it to be seen it should be bigger IMO. Not only that but I've never seen a road convert from 2 to 1 way like that before, but that's probably because of where I live. Other than that one mistake she did extremely well and I believe she deserves to pass! Good job!

To anyone taking the drivers test this coming week or in the near future,I wish all of you good luck. My advice would b to make sure you know all of the parking maneuvers,listen to what the instructor tells you to do,check behind your shoulder when make lane changes and use your rear view mirrors as well. Man I wish I had examiners like this one. I failed once and the first examiner was an old cranky man who obviously hated his job. He was very aggressive and his tone made me very very nervous and shaky. My second examiner (I passed my 2nd time) was a very nice young lady but she definitely took her job very seriously and I respect that.

Took mine yesterday and passed with 0 errors! I was super nervous, especially because I had to go to a different town because we don’t have a dmv in mine or the one next to it. My mom and I went a little earlier so I could drive around the dmv to get use to the area a bit, but during my test the examiner took me in the complete OPPOSITE direction lol. So I was pretty much going in blind, to an area I’ve never been in my life. My examiner was nice though and when I told her I don’t know the area and I’m nervous, she said roads are all the same so just drive as you usually would and remember what you’ve studied. And she also told me to pretend she wasn’t even there. I’m happy I passed with a 100%. I figured I would have gotten at least a few errors due to not knowing the area at all, but I did it! Good luck to everyone, you’ll do just fine! And remember, if you fail this time, it’s not the end of the world and you can take it again. Just make sure and practice.

That's really poorly designed one way sign. For one it's fairly small and easy to miss (especially during snow season I'd imagine), and two I actually thought it was for the cross road, not the road straight up ahead. They really ought to have a clearly marked DO NOT ENTER sign in bright red to make it that much more obvious

That "One Way Do Not Enter" sign would have been outdated when I took my drivers test in 1986. If the city had the proper red and white "DO NOT ENTER" sign, I'm sure she wouldn't have missed it. It actually took me a couple rewinds to realize the sign said "do not enter" and not just "one way".

I failed my first 3 tests cuz for one the dmv was new. Two it was in the middle of nowhere. So it was impossible to practice the driving route before the test. The driving instructor caused soo many people to fail that people started complaining about the driving instructor it caused a huge uproar in our area! She even failed a cop! Everyone started talking in line at our dmv and everyone has failed by the same woman at least 2 to 4 times no one ever passed on there drivers test the first time. So we found our she was fired after getting over 100 complaints about the driving tester and we all got letters of apology from the local dmv for her actions!

This one is tricky since obviously going the wrong way is a very critical mistake. however this intersection didn't have the standard red "Do Not Enter" signs to keep drivers from going the wrong way and the instructor never instructed her to turn right which in almost every other situation he would have. combine this with the distraction from the truck makes me want to giver her the pass.

I passed today 😁, after failing my first try. A couple tips 1. Look around your area for the easiest test route, i was lucky and it was my home town. The first time i actually went to one of the harder ones because it had an earlier appointment. 2. If your tester is talking about stuff like their family, and having a conversation with you, don't get comfy. Yes, this probably means you passed, but this could also be tactic they use to see how you drive with others talking in the car. 3. Good luck! Hopefully you're able to sort of gage wether or not you passed. Usually you should know, and if you really can't tell, chances are you need more practice. You'll know if you've driven well or not.

If the examiner leads her onto a one way street it's entirely his own fault. He sets the standard throughout the test that he's going to tell her when and where to turn. If he's leading students into oncoming traffic just to see what they'll do he should be fired.

First instructor I had was really sweet and kind Didn't pass the first time. Took it again 3 weeks later. Mind you...I watched videos on y turns and left turns cause those are my weaknesses.....and my dad helped me master those. The second time i took it I 100 percent rocked My weak spots and actually screwed up on the easier things ( I went too slow the second time in a 35mph zone) However...there was no one behind me so there wasn't any danger of impeding traffic Long story short: I passed it the second time. I was a little shocked because my instructor this time around was a little more harsh and intense than the first. But I felt better about it because it confirms that I earned it. So thank you to this channel. And if anyone has a test coming up...you're gonna rock it. If certain maneuvers ( like y turns) confuse you. Look up examples of people actually doing them. Im more of a visual learner in all honesty. Keep posting these videos. I give credit to Road Test Success for helping me learn and pass. But the journey doesn't end there. I want to continue to perfect my skills.

Small towns have crap like that, I've seen them all over small towns where they purposely do that so they can ticket you for going the wrong way. They'll make it the least obvious so out-of-towners won't know, then hide, so bam, instant ticket.

I took my test today in Batavia, Ohio. I had a pretty good examiner. I nearly failed the manueverability part of the test (for those not in Ohio, it is a test where you have to go through 2 sets of cones and a middle cone and turn at the top then back out without knocking a cone over). I ended up bumping one of the cones, but luckily it didn't knock over or move from its position so all I got was 10 points deducted. I ended up with 19 points deducted so luckily I still passed. On the driving part I missed points for turning too wide and braking a little too hard (a lot of it was nerves as I was warned the night before at my last driving lesson that I would automatically fail if I went 1 mph over the speed limit or more than 5 mph under the speed limit so I was trying to stay in that range. Luckily I passed!

I had my driving test on the 1st, I didn't pass but I did get my learners permit to practice more/work on what my examiner told me. Although I struggled with backing up into the parking space and parallel parking, my examiner remained patient and gave me a shot. I still am proud of myself for trying it out, to fix what I need to work on which for the best. I'm thinking of doing my re-test in May or June to give me some time to practice more!

@@darthtrooper9897 I was in the second lane turning right (two lanes turning right but I’m on the outer part) and It’s hard to see the lines where that is and the lane I’m supposed to then turn into is SUPER slim and you really have to go straight and at the last second turn the wheel. I went into the correct lane but didn’t maneuver the vehicle into it correctly I cut through a bit.

My first driving test during the parallel parking I touched the curb and adjusted and passed, I had to retake the test recently because my license expired, did the exact same thing, tire hit the curb, I pulled forward and adjusted, passed with a 91.

My test is today I’ll update you guys last time I failed this is the second attempt let’s go 😭💪🏻 *update the lady was a mean person and todo me to reschedule again my mental health and power was mentally drained I told her sorry I didn’t speak up sooner about my appointment and to be honest i Broke down in the car I give up on life I can deal with it anymore the dmv really stressed me out the dmv I’m at the employees don’t show remorse and didn’t let me drive that day due to not having my paper work ready my mom’s license paper work was in the car and they didn’t let her go and grab it quickly

@@jfs5873 yes!! I rescheduled in may 5th and practice the whole routes and I was lucky to be taken in one the of the routes I’ve studied!! I got 2 minor errors! And passed! So yes I have my license and have been a very good driver but I still don’t have the confidence to drive on the freeway

yeah, sadly that's what they want, do the limit (or slightly below), be consistent, and look. Besides, looking is the number one thing when driving anyway, I've had to avoid dozens of accidents over the years because some dumb dumb wasn't looking, but because I was I avoided the accident with them.

18:30 I wish I had an examiner like that. Remember that "don't hit the curb when backing up" rule? I hit it, not hard, but bumped it, and that was a critical error, and a fail- this was back in the 80's. I had to come back the following day, and do the whole damn thing again. The biggest reason I even hit the thing was because in Illinois you're not required to wear a seatbelt when backing up, so the driver's ed teacher had us take them off, so we could see better. When I took it off on the test, man alive did the examiner have a cow! I had to put it back on, which I had not practiced backing up wearing the thing, throwing me off, and of course I ended up hitting the curb, because I didn't have the range I had before. Looking back, I should have loosened it, then turned around to see, but I was 16, and didn't know. Over 30 years later, and over half a million miles under my belt, I can back up probably tied to the seat now! LOL It's all experience, I have that now that I didn't have then.

just failed my drivers test because i got the shittiest instructor. Didn't tell me to turn left at a stop sign till after i was already at the stop sign and told me to go right onto a 1 way road which sealed my fate, gg
