Me too! I did suffer endometriosis for years. My mother the nurse would say, get used to it. It’s going to happen every month. In college I went to the obgyn on my own and started a regimen of small dose Codeine one or two days a week. I still had the other effects of endometriosis but not the mind numbing pain. This was before doctors operated on us for that. Now I’m just happy to be here enjoying your talks with us and loving life.😊

Thank you so much for this post! We live in a world where kindness gets distorted by “ truth”!! People feel that “truth” entitles them to say anything they want. I guess creators open themselves up to scrutiny but I find it distressing that followers feel it’s acceptable to try and destroy someone’s self image. Everyday life is hard enough. When finding fault in something ( if you must) find a way to say it empathetically and kind. It’s really not that difficult!!!

@@virginiaconway374 Martha is more than likely burdened with additional psychological issues concerning fears about her relevance in the world as an ageing woman, fears of loss, of dying etc. I see these fears as mental illness. I am 75 years old and I don’t care what Martha Stewart says or doesn’t say. Remember, she went to prison, and served time, for being dishonest. Now, if you lied to me, I would be hurt because I have a “personal” relationship with you: I am a subscriber and purchase your products. Continue doing what you are doing: you are respected and admired by many. One of your best qualities is your honesty.
@howlingwaters27418 ай бұрын
She was set up by the Federal Government. Have you not lied? Do you have any idols? Have you ever lusted, even with your eyes? Do you hate? See where we are going here? Martha Stewart lived in a world where she wouldn't compromise with the elites and their dark, unspeakable deeds. Her new and unlikely business relationships may just be protecting her from those who would rather have her gone. While incarcerated, she used her skills to help women learn basic skills that would help them attain gainful employment after release. Martha Stewart's disclosure about injections is no big deal, just tabloid fodder. She's always grown and eaten a variety of unprocessed foods and sewn the seeds of inner beauty as well as external. But that one mistake... Green Envy is not a good color for any of us🙂

I'm 77 years old and I appreciate all the work you do to promote positive aging for women. Personally, I don't care what Martha or anyone else does to themselves. If it makes you feel better, you do you. Where I have an issue is being in the public eye and pretending that you are 82 and still look 50 because you slather on some face cream at night. I don't like being lied to and no one really believes it. Just be real and I'm fine with whatever you choose to do.

You would have to be extremely credulous to believe anyone can look like this at 82. I think it's great she's had a few facelifts, lots of botox, and fillers. That's maintenance, and no need to disclose, although lying is unnecessary. The photoshopping and filters, however, those are truly bad faith, and what people don't realize are really at play. She most certainly looks very different in real life, even with all her procedures.

Dear, wonderful, beautiful and wise Nikol, I love your makeup tips but adore your philosophy even more! I joined my first 12-Step fellowship in 1990, have been in personal therapy for decades, and just turned 61 a few weeks ago. A few things I have learned over the years are that hurt people hurt people. When haters hate, I always wonder what happened to them to make them like they are. The other thing I have learned that has been extremely helpful in my life is to go where the love is and not where it should be. In other words, don't waste a second of your time on people who are mean and vindictive toward you but spend your time with people who provide you with kindness, support and unconditional love. And don't let negative comments occupy valuable space in your head. Save that for affirmations and happy memories. Last but not least, I think it's our responsibility to try to turn the tide of hate around and be kind and loving to all. Give out genuinely deserved compliments randomly to people you encounter in your daily life, and try to do everything you do, whatever it is, in love. Keep up the fabulous work, my lovely Nikol, you are such a source of truth and light! 😘❤

Your assistance in helping us to remember that we are all beautiful - inside and out - is powerful, SO needed, and effective; * a genuine interest in lifting other woman up rather than knocking them down; and * j’oie de vivre! Why do so many women feel that 50 is a death knell to having fun or spreading joy? There are others, but those are the most valuable, in my opinion. Years ago I had a TERRIBLE boss who almost broke me; she obviously learned her management style at the Marquis de Sade University. A friend and colleague gave me a cartoon she had found (nowadays a meme) and told me to keep it under my blotter to remember when my boss was being ‘special’. It read: “Don’t let the turkeys get you down!” Simple. Concise. True. Hugs from the Canadian Arctic❣️❣️🇨🇦

I agree with you. It doesn’t matter if people use things other than lotions and potions to keep themselves looking good, but just be honest about it. It’s disappointing to learn that what people say they are doing and what they are really doing is different. You are so inspirational, thank you for all you do.

First off, I absolutely love your channel. I love how real and honest you are. How classy you approach life and aging gracefully. It hurts my heart to see people who prefer to thrive on hate instead of love. We live in a world that is woe is me and "oh your doing well let me bring you down to my level" mentality. And that's a shame because life is to be joyful but instead we are doing the opposite. As far as Martha. Yes she should be honest because that is giving women false hope in aging. You are beautiful inside and out. Don't stop showing the world a different way. 1 person can make a world of difference.

You are not going down a rabbit hole! Martha Stewart, though doing some good, has spoiled our trust. She is deceiving us. I have lost trust in whatever she says. And I'm pretty positive she has had some plastic surgery done. There is no way she gets her skin pulled that tightly without surgery. No amt. of botox, fraxels, or fillers can make that much of a difference. You keep doing you, Nikol. You cannot go wrong with being transparent. We respect you for it.

I just turned 76 and don't like it one bit! LOL I binge your channel. I really sometimes feel like you're talking to me personally and have learned so much from you. I do have fun with makeup. I cracked myself up the other day while getting ready to go out. I looked at myself and said 'let's get this beauty started.' You are so down to earth and are so amazingly beautiful. I'm a fangirl!

You’re too much ❣️I get the biggest kick out of how you deal with negative “stuff”… I am so happy that you have become such a positive influence in this crazy world of “beauty”…helping women stay focused on the down to earth concepts with wit & humor. Although I’ve known you your entire life, you never cease to amaze me… I love you so much. Aunt Nancy

You are on point regarding Martha hedging the facts. It is all about money. Making money. Lots of money. Thank you for pointing this out. The truth is we can all use help, but most can't afford it. Your approach is refreshing. Thank you.

Hello Nikol! So, in my line of work - analyzing words and body language for truth or deception - she used "squishy language" when she said, "I really sort of practice what I preach." That right there tells me she doesn't. She can't 'sort of' practice what she preaches; she either does or doesn't. Just reading that one line tells you there is more to the story. I am surprised the editor allowed that quote. Always pay attention to the words people say - the hidden truth is in them. Love your videos and your lipsticks!!

I appreciate your authenticity and honesty. I try to shed as much negativity in my life as possible. At 71, I feel I deserve to take care of myself FIRST. I feel people promote negativity to get MORE followers on their platforms. Unfortunately being POSITIVE is boring. Let's just honor ourselves and each other. No one has ever taught us how to age better and gracefully better than YOU. My surgery scars are my tattoos of a cancer survivor and I wear them shamelessly. Living well in North Carolina, Joanna

No, you are right on. These ladies should be honest and keep it real. It is okay if they choose to do all those things, but they shouldn't act like they have stayed young looking with just healthy eating and skin care. They shouldn't lie about it. I say embrace any choice you make, but just don't sell a false narrative.

The old adage, Honesty is the best policy still rings true to me. When women deny the fact they’ve had work done especially when they are in the public domain, it makes other women feel bad that they aren’t aging well or up to snuff with others. It’s like cheating really. I don’t judge women who have had work , but then we try and fail at times to look like them. And we can’t compete with surgery and Botox and fillers. So each to there own but I love myself and me family loves me just the way I am. Keep on being you and teaching us how to be a beautiful version of ourselves. Thanks for your honesty and helping us along the way🥰

I think there is entirely too much time wasted on social media, where people work to be as negative and hateful as possible. What a shame. If more time was spent to be productive, kind and helpful, what a wonderful world we would live in. Thank you Nikol for your positivity and beauty, inside and out. I have learned so much on this channel. You have given this 63 year old a new energy to enhance what I have.

Hi Nikol! I am a 55 year old busy mother and grandmother. I love this channel. I love your hair, your style and your excellent beauty tips, that come from a good place. I love that you are real, confident and I always feel so encouraged. You make beauty look so natural, not ever complicated. I started watching you about 2 years ago when you I decided to go ALL grey, white and silver!! You gave me the confidence I needed to just do it!! I love it! I love my hair, my own personal style and I am trying some of your makeup methods and I feel Beautiful!! Thank you. Bless you and I am even more impressed by you. I love that even when some people can just say and be so immature and so hurtful with their words, you are mature enough to know not to entertain the negativity. You are not just Beautiful and smart but Classy.

I have been appalled by the negative comments I read on KZbin, Facebook, and Instagram. People hide behind their anonymity and spew nasty remarks about people they don't know. You show such positivity and have openly shared your journey. I appreciate all you do in the beauty industry and on your channel. And, yes, I am tired of people in the public eye saying they are doing nothing but skincare (topical serums, moisturizers, and facials). While we know their definition of skincare also includes trips to cosmetic dermatologists and spending thousands of dollars on non-invasive procedures. It's not my concern what anyone chooses to do, but if you speak publicly about your beauty routine, tell the truth. It's fine. I think what bothers people is the misrepresentation. Thank you, Nikol.

Hi Nikol. I wish I could hug you right now to let you know what an inspiration you are to me and to so many other women who follow you. I can tell you are hurt, and I get it and I feel bad. You can't please everyone, I know you know that. Just continue being your authentic beautiful human that you are Nikol and don't allow anyone to dull your shine. I am 75 yrs young, it's only a number, right!? As women especially, we should not use hurtful words but we should be kind and supportive of one another. There's no other way to be. If someone disagrees, there's a nice way to express that too. Use your head before you speak...... Keep doing what you're doing dearest Nikol and know how we all care. Sending big hugs. 🥰❤️

I found out that being a model is NOT glamorous at all. Yes, it is fun for a while, but then the "shine" starts to wear off. IMHO, modeling was not a "healthy" life, it was healthy to my bank account, but NOT my body or MIND!! You are so right that the costume changes are exhausting, the travel, and a LOT of the people in the INDUSTRY!! My life was taken oven completely, how much I exercised, how much I ate, what I wore, even off the set. I was a teenager, so I guess they thought I "needed" someone to tell me when to breathe, but one day I said ENOUGH, and walked off. After a lot of "drama," I was free!! I did do some local modeling, and like that because I had control. Modeling is FUN ONLY if YOU maintain full control of your life!!!!

I have so many thoughts, but will stick to a few: • Thank you, as always, for your content. You’ve helped make my 70s my best decade…so far! • I’ve no respect for Martha for a variety of reasons and choose to not support her with my money. I’m not surprised she wasn’t forthright. • The ‘joy’ of ‘hate’ is a reflection of ‘modern’ life that is reminiscent of past hedonistic and cruel societies. It did not end well for them. We who don’t engage are healthier and happier. • Onward!

You are so right! Too much hate online. I watched your makeup video as a 70+ for the tips and was surprised to hear there are even hate comments on a site as positive and uplifting as yours. Toxic is unfortunately an understatement. Stay the same as you are, that's why some of us get online, to be positive and not to be vicious.

With this particular video it was almost a two way convo-we could have been drinking coffee or sipping wine together you were so natural! Am I surprised about Martha’s disclosures yes and no. Her duplicity is unfortunate but…..who cares. She is still a self made woman. Whereas if you told us one thing and it wasn’t real that’s different. You are approachable. You talk to us,me. If I saw you on a street I would want to hug you-with MS I would just nod. Though out my years following you you care, reply, cry, show vulnerability. Keep talking, keep doing what you do. Big hug to you from me❤️❤️

My sweet friend I love that you’re so honest and so confident in the journey of the Golden years. I’ve struggled on and off because my whole life I always looked younger than my age. I was a hairdresser for 56 years and loved what I could create. My husband is 7 years younger than me and I am turning 79 this year we celebrated our 50 years of wedded bliss lol.Im really trying to fully embrace this journey of Silver Sassiness. Lol. I love my white and grey hair. I’m in great shape and in good health. I’m blessed. I found your channel and I would reach out and give you a big hug for being you!. I love how you are conversational in your videos and you wrestle through the thoughts of aging and trying to be the best you. I am 52 and have learned a lot from you about makeup and acceptance of myself as I age, and embracing the process. I have found there are many benefits to looking “more mature”, and it’s invigorating to look in the mirror and see an enhanced version of myself, thanks to your tips. Keep up the great work!

You have taught me so much about skincare and makeup application that I’m grateful to you for preventing me from wasting a lot of money on ineffective products.you are beautiful inside and out. Why can’t people live by the rule, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. You can’t keep people from thinking nasty things, but they should know enough to keep the nastiest to themselves. I think I learned that rule when I was 5 years old and I’m 75 now. This is a whole different world than what I grew up in.
