Actually it depends on the people. I'm in a three way relationship as well. I have a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend who are also in love with each other and I couldn't be happier. None of my "normal" relationships before this one felt so right and I never felt more loved than now. I'm not jealous, because I know he loves me and she loves me as well and as long as no one is treated differently or is getting way more attention for a long time there is no such thing as jealousy. And if someone feels like they aren't getting enough attention we just talk about it for a few minutes and fix it so the person feels better and as loved as the other ones.
