You should put a capo down the neck. If you put it an octave or 5th above and play in E it'll probably sound like a killer shimmer reverb. A capo would also help to transpose if you have trouble getting a particular note to resonate loud enough or to resonate a lower harmonic.
@drewh.28165 ай бұрын
You might be able to control the reverb time too if you put one of those string deadeners on it. It would have to be barely on it but it could help make it a bit more usable outside of being a drone.

That is very cool, you've got to love harmonic resonance. As the notes rang out for a bit, it started to remind me of the sound of Tibetan Singing Bowls. I'm now wondering what that would sound like if you got a few tuned to specific notes and put them in from of the amp. Especially the crystal bowls, those ones kick out some mega sound. As for riffs, I'd love to hear the intro to Megadeth's In my Darkest Hour, I think that would sound nice. For creep factor, the xylophone riffs of King Diamond's Two Little Girls.

I think it could be useful to have a way to mute the upper strings (a button, a pedal, a switch, your arm/wrist with a new technique ?). I feel it could open some possibilities to be able to let them ring or mute them for specific chords transitions or in mid riff to create emphasis, just like a piano pedal would do on the piano strings.

I'm curious about 2 things: 1. Does this mean that the only way to truly turn off one side is to simply unplug it? 2. What if one neck was in standard tuning, and the other was in an alternate tuning? Even if you simply did Eb tuning on one, and standard on the other, does that give a dissonant effect, or does it still find a way to find a complementary tone to it? The sound experimentation ideas are endless!
