Seriously, I was introduced to the wig world as a young cancer patient, and even though my hair is slowly but surely growing out, I have found some awesome wigs. I was initially scared of synthetic but bit the bullet and bought a belle tress (balance in the butterbeer blonde color) and was blown away. I learned a few tricks to make it look it's most natural, and no lie, I've had had multiple hair compliments this week. I feel amazing. To the person, asking, "why??!!" You'd have no idea my newly fabulous, full hair is fake lol. I think, luckily, I'll have nice "natural" hair again, but why not keep these beautiful options?! Anyway, glad I found this channel- you look gorgeous! I may have to try a Raquel Welch wig. I'm wondering which brand has the absolute most natural front, so I can keep clipping a bit back, off my face and which ones hold up best. The belle tress fibers are amazing, but I won't lie, after a few months these long synthetics definitely start to have some texture issues at the ends where you get the most rubbing, etc.

I have been wearing Raquell Welch for years and the lace won’t look good long if you keep using got 2 be on it also high heat might not hurt it at first but if you keep using heat over about 250 degrees it will be a frizzy mess before long. The lace on Raquell Welch, Jon Renau, Estetica, Ellen Wille, Envy, Noriko, Rene of Paris, and Tony of Beverly have what they call press and print lace where you press the lace down with the tips of your fingers and hold it for about 30 seconds and then slide your fingers on it and it does actually melt into your skin. If you wear these wigs with a wig grip they won’t go anywhere and your wigs will last so much longer. And if you love that wig cap you should get one of Raquell’s or Jon Renau’s hand tied wigs. You will really be spoiled with one of those. And you will never want to wear any other cap they cost more but they are so worth it.

This is great information, Jayne. My lace never wears out but the fibers at and towards the bottom do. But maybe I'll try a wig grip again. Thanks.
@jaynewhite66993 жыл бұрын
@@1010divajap if you wear a wig grip your wig stays secure and doesn’t move so there’s no friction on the lace or if you have a mono top there’s no friction on that. If you have a standard cap it doesn’t matter as much. Also if you use a wide tooth comb on your wigs versus a brush they last longer. And you might want to try some silicone conditioner and try to wear shirts without collars if you’re wearing medium length or long wigs and the fibers will last longer. Also heat friendly fibers wear out quicker.

@s.wilson27023 жыл бұрын
Cindy Garceau...Yes but you can also cut bangs into a wig with no bangs. I do it all the time and can do a professional job but if that's a bit more than you would attempt, you can take it to a stylist who is used to working with wigs and have it done professionally. There are some great tutorials on doing it yourself, one on Wigs By Patti's Pearl's and others as well, but maybe start on a less pricey wig if you do go that route. Patti also shows how to thin a too thick wig with thinning sheers. There are certain techniques to cutting wigs, I always use a razor comb or if I use scissors I use an up and down motion to feather the ends and not have that chopped look. This wig's density is already perfection and is stunning and very "classy" on this gorgeous gal!!

For those of you who have hair loss, If ur losing hair and don’t understand why, go to a parasite specialist. U may have too much demodex. Demodex mites go under the skin and eat the hair follicle, which thins out the hair. Everyone has these mites, but some ppl build up too many. Sometimes the mites thrive more on certain ppl. The specialist will give u medication to kill them off.

@Always Watching I think most people do, they just dont know it, if they don't have symptoms such as itching or hair loss. Many or most people have at one time or another had itchy eyes and/or crusty eyelashes. I believe the doctors diagnose it as blepharitis and tell you to wash your eyes with baby shampoo but what they dont often tell you is it is usually or often caused by demodex mites. I guess they think people would be too freaked out if they saw them under a microscope! Pets carry them and pass them on to their people and you personnaly may NOT have them and be offended by the thought but it has nothing to do with hygiene or the lack thereof, it is simply a state of being that many people have dealt with at one time or another but may be unaware of unless they over- proliferate. I think it's good this subject was brought up because it can be a factor in hair loss that many people don't know about or consider. Thanks to the one who broached the subject!!

The only problem I found is difficulty in finding these wigs in Large! I'm wanting a bob in biscuit by Raquel Welch but can't find one in Large size sadly.

Anybody who never heard of Raquel Welch before, look her up. She was an icon in the 1960s, 70s and on. And her fame certainly wasn't for wigs. The wings are gorgeous but I would never get the one with the dark roots. To me, that looks fake. I would love to see one with out the roots. The wigs are definitely gorgeous and realistic. The hairline is amazing.

RW has a new one called Well Played. It’s a longish choppy style, front lace is so perfect. My friends inspected my forehead. It looks like it’s coming out of my scalp. I’m a big fan of RW Goddess too. I currently have 4 that I take turns wearing so I don’t wear them out. I’ve had them around 2 years. Since I love Well Played so much I just ordered another one so I can change them out to last longer. I have other nice ones too but RW is my favorite.

I went to the Amazon site link you listed and there was only one review that said after 4 weeks it was a snarly mess! All tangles etc. I wish I knew the truth about her wigs! They are beautiful but do they stay that way?
@denicecassell95412 жыл бұрын
Use a wide tooth comb to comb it out at least when you take it off at the end of the day. I use glue (it stays) I wash that off the lace, hang it up and I am ready for the next day. I’ve been wearing RW wigs since 2019.

I have 3 different RW wigs. I'm a natural blonde so I definitely would look weird in a shaded style. I stay in the color 16/88, which is so close to my normal color, it's perfect! I never wear a wig cap. I bought them, hated them. I bought tape & glue too. But honestly I've found i didn't need them. I also decided keeping my natural hair in a short undercut pixie really makes wearing a wig so much more comfortable!! I know a few gals who try to tuck a small ponytail unde the wig but truly its a bulge that really is noticeable. 》》The key is to find a stylist to trim your wig to your face & the perfect length that compliments YOU. Otherwise its just going to look wiggy. Washing: gentle moisturizer shampoo, and soak/rinse in unscented Downy. There's also oil spritzers that add back the softness as the wig ages. I also trim the end about 1/8 inch to remove the frizziness that happens after a lot of wearing.
