I finally found DRIP in the Witcher 3

Yo Rob, just a few pieces of advice to help ya out! 1) Make sure to read all the stuff you’ve picked up. Next time you pick up a book, just R3 and go through all of them. It will unlock Witcher contracts for you, you have to actually read them to trigger them 2) For crafting, only specific vendors sell specific crafting items. Crafting is overwhelming at first but it can be boiled down to you need specific crafting items to craft Witcher gear, you can craft those specific items with other components, and each piece of a Witcher set requires 5 (I think) upgrades to max out. Keep finding the feline set diagrams to upgrade further 3) don’t buy runestones, you’ll pick up a million just through looting. Sell all your junk tho to free up inventory. Don’t buy armor or weapons either, they become extremely common 4) without spoilers, I probably wouldn’t progress the main story for a while. Knock out as many side quests as you can, along with a good chunk of question marks. The levels you get will be worth it and you do want to fine tune your abilities around this point of the playthrough. The question marks do get tiring, but the side quests are all awesome Other than that (and not passing to lose round 1 of gwent 🤣), just keep it up dude. This has been so fun to watch. You the man!

Hey, just a small tip. If you put a red mutagen next to 3 red skills you get a bonus in attack. Same goes for the other colors with different bonuses. And you can combine 3 lesser for 1 regular, then combine 3 regular to make 1 greater mutagen. Keep up the good content☺️

You cant buy certain crafting components if the blacksmith/armorer doesnt have that component in stock and what they do have in stock is mostly random.

Also the undvik armorers tools are just for master crafted items. regular witcher, enhanced, and superior armor they can already make providing he found the diagrams. But he seems to be in a hurry to fly through the game

@@cjgeel1I have 75 hours on the game right now and as far as I can tell have a good ways to go till the end of the story. Have completed gwent, every Witcher contract, every horse race, every fist fight, as well as a pretty hefty amount of side quests. But please enlighten me on how I’m in a hurry to finish the game just because I haven’t taken the time to do one particular thing this massive game has to offer 😂

@@IAmRob You would do yourself well if you looted more, just for example when you first landed on Skellige there was a massive amount of loot on the beach at the shipwrecks along with a place of power and the 1000 crowns you paid the captain, it was on his body nearby. Not sure but maybe if you went back there and looked around all that stuff would still be there. Another key to this game is explore explore explore. It wouldnt be so interesting for the viewer but you do a good job at editing the boring stuff out

You should get the wolf school set at some point if you are going for a mostly only melee without using potions or oils as it has very good bonuses for a build like that, and might be the best looking as well

Hey Rob, I haven't seen you do this for your walkthrough at this stage, so I'll give you a little advice: read the bestiary in the game sometime, it's full of useful information on how to fight enemies that you've killed at least once (what signs &potions& bombs to use)

You should finish all the side quests first. It helps you get stronger plus more lore.

You can only buy the components if the blacksmith/swordsmith has that component in his shop. It'll be notated by the little gold pouch on the item (while in the crafting menu) and there will be a number next to it which relates to the amount of that component the merchant has in his inventory.

Could be wrong, but I think you were able to buy base materials directly out of the crafting submenu because you were actively talking to an armorer/shopkeep that had those materials in stock.

also dont buy runes for your swords/armor, find them or keep them, trust me its worth it in the future, they will come handy in a dlc quest

Just like in real life, not al blacksmith/armorer/merchants have all supplies in stock. And even if they do, they don't have them in equal amounts. If you have coin buy the crafting supplies you need - but it is cheaper to have them crafted in your crafting components tab by the blacksmith/armorer.

42:04 You know you can combine mutagens into better ones? you can upgrade your green mutagen and have 2 other slots free. Also if you match colors, they upgrade your skills. Blue mutagen empwers blue abilities, red mutagen empowers red abiities etc

You cannot buy the materials if the vendor does not have it in stock. It's in stock if the component has a yellow "sack" symbol on the material.

items like monster eyes are gained from dismantling eyes from types of monsters that drop eyes and higher grade ingots have to be crafted but it isnt too bad as you can sometimes still purchase the ore. (just loot and dismantle any armour or swords you dont mind losing)

If you see items with yellow exclamation mark it means it has a quest tied to it, 57:05 he is selling one and it could prove useful

the crafting components you can buy is random. The blacksmith has to sell it and he doesnt have every item in his shop.

Just in case, make sure you turn on the Ballad Heroes gwent card set in settings. It was off by default for me when i installed the game

I will give you some advice if you want to read it. No spoilers but PLEASE get yourself some weapon oils ready. Draconids, Ghosts & Vampires at the very least will be crucial for the rest of this game and DLC because those encounters get very hard later on.
