Congrats! It's funny how such things can make yourself so depressive. I live in Switzerland. Almost all our house prices (for decent houses) start around the 1Mil mark but none of them are that big or do even have a shop inside or attached! So I can definitely feel your frustration. Sometimes even the land costs more than a million and then still you have to build a house with or attached shop for almost the same amount. Our hobbies and the way we want to live with all that is getting more and more a luxury thing. An advise in advance once you really have this property. Do the paving and also the shop insulation before you move in! It's a space robbing and messy process, so you definitely want to do this in advance. It is a pain to do it afterwards once you have moved in. I did this mistake and hated me for that to not wait this 2 additional weeks to finish this. Do the paving of the entrance first and then the insulation of the shop after that... Also add more power outlets to the wall before insulation. This generic shops most of the time have way to less power outlets and lights. I hope everything plans out as you expect it and wish you and Jess the best wishes from Switzerland
