my brother has a tesla model Y and in my opinion it is sweet in the sense that it is fast as far as take off but from what I can tell the build quality is very poor considering what he paid for the car and 2 weeks into having it he had to bring it in for warranty because they were still installing known bad sensors into the cars for the heat and cooling system even after they came out with a new sensor to fix the problem

My first car when I was 17 was a 1994 Corolla. I can attest that thing was a tank. Growing up on the streets of Mobile,AL we put that thing through absolute hell. I ran it out of gas several times and it always started back up again and again eventually getting me to a station. I even coasted in a few times. Hopped curbs, got t boned, on road, off road, even lost it downtown for a few weeks. The damn thing wouldn’t die.

@samuelnakai18042 жыл бұрын
My review on a 2021 corolla SE I bought new. Great vehicle, rides very well. My mpg goes from 38 mpg combined city and highway in winter to 44 combined city/highway in the summer. I also drive conservatively, so keep that in mind. The oil is easy to change (no paper filter, easy access to drain pan) but do NOT trust a 10000 mile oil change, I'd recommend 6500 to 8500 miles as after that the oil is jet black-I want my engine to last 500,000 miles. Trunk is deceptively roomy, I cam put a full sized bicycle in there and shut the door. No electric issues, and stupid car warnings can be shut off manually. It also has some getup and go, but I wouldn't call it a corvette. Would recommend. Sunroofs are stupid, that's the one thing I would take out if I could.

The 2017 and earlier Corolla SE was really rough. The 2018 SE/XSE and later is much better, because Toyota went from a torsion bar to a multilink on the rear axle. My 2020 averaged 40.0 MPG, often hitting 43 to 44 MPG on the highway. Drive safely and sanely, and you'll get way better than the rated 35 MPG. Avoid the Corolla versions with the 1.8 liter engine. It's underpowered, and revs a lot, just to make a little power. Think the Corolla is boring? Fine, buy an unreliable car, and you'll get excitement aplenty - when you're presented with repair bill after repair bill. And Scotty, I loved the sunroof. Toyota CVTs are very reliable. Aisin built. They are used in Corollas all around the world, Asia, Africa wherever harshest environments and with little maintenance. Yet these transmissions go without problems for hundreds of thousands of miles. Plus these newer Corollas have a physical launch gear so even less wear and tear on the cvt. Don't be so paranoid.
@zarakdurrani75842 жыл бұрын
@@bradyakubovic2550 would even vouch for a 10th gen civic cvt. One of my family got those with 200,000 miles and the car has been beaten like crazy. Looks like trash outside but the engine and transmission go without a hitch. I was actually surprised when I asked to start it to see if it made any clunking noises or the transmission slipped but there was none. So yeah, Hondas and Toyota's. Very reliable and a safe bet.

Toyota Corolla are really impressive! They drive and ride far better than you might guess and gas mileage is very good. My aunt drove one for 19 years and it ran so well when she traded it in for a new one, the salesman bought it for his mother-in-law. Maybe one of the best cars in the world.

Reminds me of my 04 MR2- common 1.8L 4, 6 speed manual (upgraded from the 5), decent power but not what you would call fast, Toyota reliability and if it’s nice in the evening and I want the roof down, just put it down. I agree sunroofs in hot climates rarely if ever get opened.

I really love my 2020 Toyota corolla it rides great and I think it even looks great front end looks similar to the corolla in this video my 2020 also has the 2.0L and the sport mode the only thing I do not like about my 2020 is the synthetic shifting they have programmed into the computer my corolla has a CVT Transmission. I wish there was a way to turn off the synthetic sifting

Just cuz it's a Corolla doesn't mean it's going to go 400,000 mi. I really highly doubt that because my problem is it's still a late model baby. It's still a new car. I don't care if that's a Toyota badge or a Fiat badge. The things got direct injection, low tension rings. It runs on 0w 16. I'm sorry but only time will tell if they can still last as long as they used to because we don't know yet. We haven't got enough time under the belt of those dynamic force engines yet... Now if the computer can adjust for a down GDI system and allow it to just run off the port injection in the case of a failure, that'd be awesome cuz you know the GDI going to fail first.... theoretically

My wife has a 2020 Corolla SE with the 2.0 liter and it has a sporty look, especially the wheels. Handles like a sports car, but does have a rough ride. She averages 36 mpg, but I’ve gotten 42 mpg on some 30 mile trips when I drive it. She did have the dealer install Katzkin leather when she bought it new and it feels high quality… not cheap.

Currently in a 22 Corolla LE loaner while car in shop. Has 5k on the clock. I absolutely hate it. CVT transmission jerky shifts especially when using cruise control. Very loud engine when you accelerate. Tires really loud. Overly heavy steering wheel feel. Really gutless...nothing quick about it. The seats are very comfortable. Really the only thing I like about it.
@comet57482 жыл бұрын
Man comparing the CVT’s from Nissan to Toyota is like night and day. I am a manager at a Dominos and we use 2021 Nissan Sentra S’s as our company cars and I drove them from when they got off the lot at less than 100 miles to now having 20k+ miles. I will say that overtime the Sentras feel weak and the get up and go power are absolute garbage. There was even a point where one of my drivers went up to me and told me that one of the cars struggled to get over 40 miles an hour. That car had 18k miles on the clock and lord almighty am I not surprised. With the way Toyota designed their CVT’s, it brings hope that one day other companies will take inspiration and make better CVT’s in the future.
