You probably figured it out/remembered, but the Forms are powered by Rings. If Sonic, Shadow, and Shadic didn't have enough Rings, they wouldn't be able to stay in their Super or Hyper forms, which is why we see Sonic collecting Rings and giving them to Shadow. If they didn't have enough Rings for the final clash, Nazo would've overpowered them. Oh yeah, and there is a different between the Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds. Basically the Chaos Emeralds have their own Super Forms, caused by the Master Emerald

The Black version of Sonic is Dark Sonic, its an alternate version of his super form using fake chaos Emeralds, and its when he lets go of his mercy, so in Dark Form he would actually permanently end someone. Dark Sonic is the opposite of the Sonic we know, hes more quiet and serious compared to our talkative kind hearted Sonic. We barely saw him in Sonic X where Eggman managed to calm him down, but at the end of the day, its Sonic when he stops giving a fuck for others. And in this animation that was Sonic using THE REAL emeralds including the Master Emerald so it was a LOT more powerful. And about Knuckles whooping random animals that go near the animal that goes near the Mastsr Emerald. Yes he would probably kill it. He doesn't even trust one of his closest Friends Sonic to use the energy.

So the creator made this on Newgrounds and used voice clips from sonic adventure it was originally made in 2006 to 2007 I think he ended up making it into parts at first then he put them together with better animations and this one is just improved animations and other things but also a fun fact about Nazo he was the original Design for Super Sonic in Sonic X but they decided to go with just Yellow Sonic like the games because it makes more sense the creator of Sonic Nazo Unleashed was gonna make a sequel but he at first cancelled because he wanted to focus on his family and then he suprised everyone with a act 1 of the sequel he is gonna do act 2 but its gonna take a while because as a lot of people know Animation takes time and also he wants to get it out because the 3rd Sonic movie comes out because he said that shadow does some dope stuff in act 2 he also said he would love it to be part of the ''Year of Shadow''.
