I know returns seem bad. However, I worked for a company that would buy all of Wal-Mart's broken electronics from them at cost, fix them and sell them on Wish, Ebay, Amazon, etc. We were all highly trained certified hardware technicians. Had to pass a 8hr fix test of various phones, laptops, consoles, pcs etc. Around 65% of all electronics returned for "not working" worked no issue. Followed by cracked screens, account lock outs, and the occasional actual DOA. Returned items can absolutely be 100% working units with reduced cost. Even less if they are scuffed.

Honestly, I got a few of those creepy hidden cameras when I hired a new dogsitter. I had a clock and a few wall charger blocks. I just wanted to make sure she was doing what she was being paid to do while I was out of town. Then I put them in a drawer and they got mixed up with my regular chargers.
