I Need to Work on My Music on SoundCloud... at first I started off on SoundCloud then focused on Spotify got a few followers then my progression went slow then moved on to KZbin and it's doing ok The reason why I don't want to do this is because you need so many tickets just to upload on top of that I don't want to have so many reposted stuff on my page because how people is going to find my music But I'm try this again and see I might pay for tickets

Legitimately debatable. That's why you have to use these platforms as well as other methods strategically. The value you can get from it is based on the specific goal you have

It seems ok as part of a whole campaign but deffo not worth it. The targeting is weak and if its only targeting soundcloud then your netter off running ads on instagram seeing as it has a bigger platform

You can watch the rest of this videos I drop around it but what I can say is a platform being bigger is not a good sole criteria to base your platform choice on. I would've never wasted my time to even test it out if that were the case. The targeting is actually STRONG. You have to put it in context. SoundCloud (and as a result, Repost Exchange) are MUSIC platforms and the allow people to choose what type of music they like. So when target with a genre, your music is being served to people who are (1) looking to listen to music and (2) have already MANUALLY stated they have a predisposed interest in the style of music. The amount of complexity doesn't necessary equate to utility....Ad platforms like Facebook HAVE to be more complex because the reason that people are on them is less clear. They algorithms are other forms of targeting to help create an educated guess. People aren't on SC to shop, talk to friends, brand their company, get an update on news, etc. They're there for music and they're telling you what kind they like.

@@BrandmanNetwork Although what your saying makes sense. Basic facebook and instagram targeting and retarging and funnels have ridiculous potential. The targeting is also very hyper focused. How do you think sou dcloud found out someones favourite genre? Never seen a questionnaire on the platform. Its through algorithms. Having more people doesnt always mean better success but its a bigger poil to search from if you know what your doing. I would never tell somekne not experienced in ads to go on facebook alone but if they have the money on a full scaled campaing then it would be silly choose this over facebook or Instagram. Those platform gave been designed refine and tested to hyper target. Buesinesses especial ecommerce live off those and make millions i would put.my money on something proven rather than the new kids on the block. You also dont know the share of RnB vs Rock so it could even be a smaller pool. I think its a great idea btw epic for a plug n play targeting system.

TBD in terms of SC marketing (which is still newer to most)....Spotify is an entirely different game. I wouldn't look at this as a replacement for it. Submit Hub is nice but it's a toss-up. You submit for a '"chance" but it's not guaranteed to get any type of feedback, plays. It can be cool but more of a supplement, not a core tactic

It’s stuffs it in their streams, if they rock with it they’ll like it. People are waaaaay more likely to like stuff on here than any other platform. Something just different about SoundCloud, it’s literally stepping into the land of the unknown and with a lot of trash rappers on there just one good song can easily blow you up
