The piece of silver is a colar of a smoking pipe. Goes between the stem and the bowl. Wb was a birmingham maker 1890 1910. Nice bits lovely coin. Thanks for you hard work 🐝😷

Cracking silver Gareth,the knock could be an old one.The piece of silver is a ferrule from a pipe and if you look up the maker from the hall mark it will confirm that.Some nice fade outs and ins and a double hat throw too.

This was a bit of an off day.. you hit at least 3 targets with your spade, including that mint florin!! Wow, such a nice coin.. and to start on a bit of silver is always good. Makes you happy to be out there instantly 😀 Helicopter was pretty impressive too.. and flying low..😀

Still to this day I am heartbroken about hitting that coin. I've only ever found 2 of these coins in MINT condition and I hit them both urghhhhhh

@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire oh, no.. both.. not a good track record. A friend of mine hit his biggest silver too, a 1920 shilling, gutted. I've hit a couple of coins in the past, only one silver, a George the 5th sixpence... a big line straight across the middle. It annoys me every time I see it. I saw on Instagram youd been out detecting I the snow.. hope it was worth it 😀😀

Ayup Jason, hammered silver coins are not a common find here. I have found around 18 silver ones and 1 gold hammered in 6 years of relentless metal detecting on Derbyshire pasture. I have probably found 150 muscet balls 😁

Does the orx not have the Pinpointer mode on it like the deus lite ? it would help with your clipping of items. but a nice lot of finds today.

Hi William it does yet, you have to press the pinpoint button but I have a case on my remote which makes it a bit annoying having to press buttons. When I detect I am very quick, I sometimes rush and these things happen now n again

Hi Lee, I spent 4 years using my AT Pro, I still have it and its still the best machine I have ever used. The only reason I switched was purely because of weight. I wamted something light weight and modern. That AT Pro found me hammered gold! It ignored iron and the tones sweet! Modern machines now have crap tones and love iron!! My waterproof coat is made by RAB, got it from a shop called Go Outdoors. It was expensive but they are British made and high quality mountaineering product 😁

I’m a mad keen fisherman and all my spare money usually goes in that but splashed out on a nokta impact after a couple of years of wanting a machine. Luckily I’m an electrician and worked for several farmers so manages to get permission on a few farms. Keep up the good work- and if you get stuck for content maybe a vid for newbys like me. 😄🎣

Congratulations on getting a metal detector, its the best hobby in the world 😁 I have thought about expanding to some tutorials and such. Doing what I do keeps me incredibly busy on top of work and life etc so its all about finding the time. Theres a lot of other guys who have done vids for beginners. You got a decent machine there and my advice to you get out there, dig everything and learn the machine. It will be frustrating at first entering the unknown. Get some coins, bottle top, ring pull, a can and go over them with the coil to see the signals. Always here for advice too 😁

@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire I just throw a coin down bud and criss cross your coil to narrow it down keep doing this till you know it on the coils position ! I stick mainly to my 11” coil and can pinpoint to within an inch..you’ll get there 👍👍👍
