After 25 Years on the water you might think that I would have seen it all by now? that's not true, I feel like I know absolutely nothing now! With Winter in full swing I witnessed a phenomenon, never have I seen so many fish in one place before

Fishing the SEQ canals has been surprisingly great this winter. Im pretty sure a ton of bait comes into the canals and with that come the trevs and jewies and even a few massive flatties. And also on the beaches winter is when you get those massive tailor, jewies and salmon. I also use to think winter was the worst season but now i think it might be second best to summer. Or maybe I might be getting a bit carried away 😂

Yeah this winter has been very good. I think it all comes down to adapting to the conditions and you'll have success. I actually am finding I have almost too much stuff to target

That Fish with poisonous spines in NSW is called an Old Maid. In the clear winter water i usually go to 6 & 4 pound leaders as well as 1/16 jig heads & 1 to 2 inch plastics.
