I fish Prospect Park in Brooklyn NYC. I pulled a grill out of the water the other day. I've also pulled out a cassette tape and a basketball trophy from 2011 but I've also had some of my best fishing days there. It's really sad to see bodies of water get trashed but it definitely doesn't mean the fish aren't biting! great vid!!!

You should do a series that showcases bank fishing for places a shore angler can go specific to different areas in DFW. So do a whole 1 or 2 part for Irving, Grapevine, Southlake, etc so people will have specific videos to reference when trying to figure out where to catch fish. I think it will make it very clean and searchable, which is pretty hard to find when it comes to fishing videos.

@ thanks for that positive comment. I have a specific google maps that I’d be willing to share with my experiences and notes I’ve taken at each spot. I’d like to see how it compares to others’ experiences. It can be tough for someone like myself with small children that can’t always take time away from work, coaching soccer, dance practices, cooking dinner, and other duties.

The last pond you fished, you are correct, it is only about 2ft deep across most of it, the deepest is 4.5ft way out in the middle as I've taken my kayak on it with sonar, isn't much in this pond but carp and bullhead catfish. I have tried fishing this pond many times and never had any luck other than carp.

My pb here in Oregon came out of a super urban pond next to rail road tracks and apartments all around. I had just discovered the ned rig and nailed a 7.01lb bass on July 4th! I wish I could have caught this fish pre spawn, maybe she’d be close to the holy grail 10lbs! Jon I’ve been a fan for decades! I tried to get you to come out here and fish with me. At one point I had private access to the lake Oregon’s record came from. It’s been filled in since then. If you ever venture out this way and want to be completely frustrated by steelhead hit me up. If you want to fish a city pond with lots of inner city “features”, but holds some fish, try Bachman lake at Dallas Love Field. It’s 100% fishable from the shore and has some cool B roll opportunities with Southwest planes taking off and landing over the lake. From docks to creeks it has a little bit of everything and some toads live in there.

New sub here! Great video and good job on pulling some Bass out of those low rated ponds! I live a little North of the DFW area but fish down there from time to time. I agree some of those ponds are really nasty in that area, but the good thing is your choice of ponds to fish in that entire area is pretty much endless..lol! I think it would take years to fish all of them in the entire DFW area..lol!

This was a fun video to watch! I'd love to see you fish Springfield Park (Lakes of Springfield) in Rowlett. Growing up, we fished there alot and would catch HUGE blue cats. TWPD reports this lake hasn't been stocked since 2003, and every time I've gone recently I get skunked. However, I do see fish jumping so I know somethings in there.

The only problem is it's so pressured I almost guarantee that it'll be the hardest fish to catch. Don't really have days where there isn't at least 15-20 people fishing a very small "lake" (I'm sure other places consider them ponds but here we say lakes lol).

Unless was only a bass challenge with only a spinnerbait. But you didn't mention that that was the case.
