Most places unless it's a small dealer refuse to work on older stuff none of the Polaris dealers will not touch my 04 330 trailboss so I've been slowly gathering parts to do a complete rebuild just waiting on the one manual I ordered for the 330 engine family.

No related but have you ever messed with the auto chokes on some of the arctic cat quads. I’m working on an arctic cat 500 and the auto choke is busted but I don’t really wanna spend $250 on a new one. Is manual conversion the way to go?
@rockspowersports Жыл бұрын
I personally haven’t had to do one yet, however I know a couple people that have done the manual conversion.

I got the same quad, but my issue is that it idles find, but as soon as I accelerate, neutral or in gear, it starts to sputter. Like it's a V8 running on one cylinder. My first time dealing with small engines, Ben watching all the videos but they're saying clean the carb. Just got it back from the shop and apparently they did that already and was running nice and strong for all of an hour before turning to sputter. I haven't personally taken it apart yet, lack the tools and space right now. I'm hoping the fix I need is dumber than I am lol
@simonbeukema87796 ай бұрын
I would think your jets may be clogged, and maybe the tank needs to be cleaned because something from there got in the carb again and caused it to sputter
@trevreandrews32813 ай бұрын
I’m also having this issue. I haven’t rebuilt the carb yet but I will let you know. I also need to adjust the clutches, and the hardest part of this is getting all the carb inlet and outlet to reseal, wish that would have been in the video. Cheers, very helpful.
