Seriously, the original uncanny expressionless faces the animatronics had on top of the ironically creepy environment you saw them in, made them utterly terrifying! Then to make things all the more frightening you later find out that something bad happened in the pizzeria leading to several children going missing. The creepy part isn’t just the tragedy but also what has become of it.

Bonnie was actually never blue or purple in the first game. The lighting in certain images makes him look more purple, but in reality it's a mix in between. He's indigo.

I feel they went with realistic tweaks for the designs since why would they be uncanny towards the customers/kids (idk how to explain it properly) so they look a little less threatening. I personally wished they went with a very REAL approach like the animatronics from the 70s-90s (Showbiz, Chuck E Cheese) like how the Fnaf JRs game was where there wasn’t much skill/advancements back then so the animatronics had that feel of over-trying to be perfect for kids, but a whole different feel at night. Thanks, yeah the thing is that actual Showbiz / Chuck E Cheese animatronics have that uncanny look. They obviously weren't intentionally scary - with different kids reacting differently. But the primitive technology made them "not quite right". If anything, the movie versions looks a bit too friendly and "normal".

I overall really enjoyed the trailer and I’m really excited to see this movie but I do know there’s people who are not really fans of the direction and tone the film seems to be taking which is fine. I do feel like a lot of the cheesier elements are kinda just from the franchises drift in tone and how it presents itself compared to the first game, the franchise getting cheesier as it went on. I think it depends on where you stand on whether you enjoy that part of the franchise or not, there’s some people who do and some that don’t. I did honestly suspect this divide after seeing some of the plot details and seeing the leaked and teaser trailer, also seeing the many different expectations many different types of fans were setting. What I’m overall trying to say is that this film isn’t gonna be able to satisfy everybody especially now. Which is fine and it does seem like a good amount of people are satisfied but it does suck knowing that there are some who are not necessarily happy with the product but they also should be able to have that opinion even if it might contrast with others. …………anyways I think the animatronics look really good in the film and I think your edits did a good job at representing there first game look.

The animatronics are based off of the HW counterparts of the original 4. Hence why Bonnie is blue, has the new guitar and the animatronics are different from the first game. Compare them to the vr models. And also, let's not forget that Scott is involved in the movie, so I think it's best to trust what the movie offers.

okay to clarify some things. the animatronics in this film, are following real life animatronic rules. meaning the following, they have to actually look like something kids would want to see moving during the day. And the animatronic jaws don't hang. Scotts original models weren't originally intended to be translated into real animatronics simply because that's not how animatronics are, these suits have to worn by both humans and animatronics. and the Jim Henson company got really close to the games and it shows. when watching the film don't think of it as the first five nights at Freddy's game, think of it as a horror movie with possessed animatronic characters. oh by the way you did really well with Chica and Freddy, however bonnie needs some work on his ears and jaw.

Well to clarify the animatronics come from a time period where animatronics didn’t exactly look the most kid friendly, take a look at old Chuck E. cheese animatronic designs and compare them to the FNaF ones. But the idea of Scott never originally thinking they could exist in the real world makes sense because they look a little funny, but the designs for the movie could’ve been better.

As an og fnaf fan, I would like to say something. I understand the older fans wanting the fnaf movie to be perfect and terrifying like the first game, but like it or not, fnaf is for kids now. Yes it hurts to see them more child friendly and goofy looking than in the game, but as the games went on, the more expressive they got. Take Security Breach for example! That game was nothing but expressive animatronics and despite all the hate and criticism, people still loved it. The scary fnaf days are over. Maybe back in the day if Scott found the right company, we could’ve had an uncanny feel with the film, but that chance was missed and now he has to make it somewhat child friendly.

No, I took elements from the game modela and added them to the film versions. They're still about 95% original, but the point is to show that some subtle changes can make a big difference.

The game models are fundementally different than the movie models. Freddy's teeth are showing, bonnie's ears are titled instead of straight and their are eyes less "fitted" as he says, as well as being lifeless and "not all there". This is all part of the token creepiness and charm of the original game, so in that way he improved the models of the movie by transfering some of the *core* elements of the game models

Blumhouse seems to have completely missed the point of the FNAF story by having the whole "they want to make your daughter just like them" element. The posessed FNAF animatronics only ever went after adults to my knowledge - the exceptions being the Nightmares(who might not even be real) and the Funtimes(which were specifically built by Afton to kill children).

Scott had to approved what BlumHouse does, meaning that the red eyes had to been approved by him. If this wasn’t, then Scott wouldn’t allow the trailer to be made, and probably force them to change it. This is what I think.

It's possible it's a red hering. I mean it's this random "officer" saying it. We also she later that this little girl ends up with golden Freddie/normal Freddie. Also given afton is still holding onto the place and how Scott likes to re-use and mix and max concepts it's entirely possible the "cop" could even be Vanessa.

Uh no. This is taken from the book series, where Afton can hack the animatronics. It's why the robots eyes glow red, because when they are controlled by Afton, they have red eyes. Remember, this story is was green lit by Scott, Scott made this story for this movie. In the end, it seems like Abby got a liken to Golden Freddy. And if Golden Freddy is who I think it is (Cassidy) they probably got a soft spot to the girl. And that note "The animatronics only go after adults" is a little of a misinformation. Because I've replayed the games again, in the honor of my hype of the movie, and the only time that was said- -Was in fnaf 2. Phone Guy was talking about the Toy Animatronics for stating at adults, because thier facial recognition, that where supposed to catch local criminals, were a little wonky, because they saw every adult as a criminal. And most of the fandom seems to come together in agreement, to say the Toy Animatronics are *not* possesed. They just follow a program, and they malfunction. The withereds on the other hand, *are* haunted. Bottom line is, this movie's story seem to have the souls as angry spirits, under the corruption of William Afton, which makes it worse. Cassidy, seems to be the one not controlled to horribly, so she befriends Abby, and maybe we're gonna see an animatronic fight between Golden Freddy and Springtrap. The two spring lock animatronics going on a tussle.
