As for the program, I used Procreate for the drawing, and for the fonts, I used an app called Phonto!

Thank you! It's always nice seeing you're comment :) And hey, as for the materials, you can do it! All you need is a phone, or any electronic device to do a drawing (that's how I always uses to do it lol), and for the rest, they're pretty easy to get!

Ah, yeah I get that! I don’t know where you live, but if there are any stores near you like a Walmart, it should have everything. Acetone is just nail polish remover, so it shouldn’t be TOO difficult to find, and spray adhesive is also a pretty common glue for crafts. If you can’t find them though, they are definitely not as conventional as something like a glue stick! But, if you can find them, I really recommend trying to make some custom cards! (if you enjoy that kind of thing that is). They look so amazing, and in a sleeve it’s almost impossible to tell that they aren’t official!

Thanks so much! I’m really glad you liked it! And, well, the only way to see if you can draw is to try it yourself! Draw for fun, keep practicing, and in no time I’m sure you can draw just like me! It’s all about putting something down on paper, and going from there. The drawing will slowly form as you make it, and by the end you will be surprised at what you made!

hey! helpful video. Just wondering, Have you tried printing the images mirrored, and gluing the printed side down? I'm trying this so that I can clean the front of the card without worrying about wiping away the ink, but the spray glue I'm using strips ink (and paint, for the areas that I don't want the holo to show). Have you tested any different spray glues?

Hmm, actually I don’t think wiping away the ink would be a problem. It dries quickly, and really sticks. I’ve never had an issue with the ink rubbing off. Besides, if you’re that concerned, you can put it in a sleeve and top loader, then there is no risk at all! I haven’t tried the other way though, but it sounds like if your spray adhesive strips ink, it might not work so well. Especially because you might not get the positioning of the transparency paper exactly right on the first try

@@Witkomon ahh, I should have been more specific. Sometimes there's some glue that gets on the front. acetone takes it off quickly, but this wouldn't work if the ink was on the outside, as the acetone would strip the ink. sent you a DM on instagram btw, there's a few of us starting a subreddit dedicated to this kind of thing. a place to share designs and troubleshooting the process :)

Haha I hope I don’t get arrested my Nintendo either! Hmm, in terms of tips for procreate, I honestly wouldn’t call myself a pro either! I’m still learning as well! At the end of the day, procreate is only a tool. It can help you achieve beautiful art, but how that art piece turns out is still entirely up to you. So use the benefits of procreate to your advantage, such as multiple layers, clipping masks, warping, transforming, undoing, etc., but the main thing to practice will always be your art. If you want to get better, spend as much time as possible drawing! Try new techniques, styles, brushes, shading, and everything you can, it can’t hurt in any way, and it can only benefit you! If you want to get better at drawing portraits, then draw portraits! If you want to draw anime, then draw all the anime you can! With every piece you will improve as you learn from your mistakes and correct them! Anyways, I’m not sure if this was of any help, but good luck! Actually, I only started using procreate recently, but I have lots of experience with actual acrylic paint, so perhaps some of that comes through when I’m painting digitally.

Hi Witkomon, you might remember me from a previous videos comment section asking about pokemon card texture. After about a few weeks of thinking and researching, I think I found an okay method. Instead of stripping a reverse holo, I could strip a cheap full art card such as a $2 professors research and just strip it of the ink. I believe that this will leave an almost blank card with the texture still on it. I would then attach the transparency paper to the holofoil.

That could work, though I'm not too sure. I've never tried it myself, but I imagine actual full art might be a lot harder to strip of the holo then regular reverse cards. Also, it doesn't even matter, because the transparency paper is matte, so if you put that overtop the texture would be underneath it anyways. Lol. So there needs to be some way to put texture OVER TOP of the transparency paper. My best guess here would be some kind of sticker

Yes! It does cost money, but honestly it's worth it in my opinion. Definately the best drawing app available for mobile It's a one time payment and you own the app forever. That being said, there are definitely other good, free alternatives. ibis Paint X is a great free one, and there are many others
