Great help. As mentioned below if you are struggling to get loudness EQ onto the cable in Windowes Powershell. Hit enter and give it a couple of minutes. It will eventually do it.

This worked perfectly now, not sure why the previous season 4 one didnt, considering there are little changes, the only difference was after using the powershell command, while in both cases it seemed that the commanded worked (got a proper response) the next step (reapply the settings in the configurator) never forced me to redoit, it was already selected, this time it did. I can now get clear sound distinction where I couldnt before and can lower my footsteps without interfering with others. Thank you very much

Anybody else finding that this may have made footstep audio even WORSE? Followed every step from both videos and every single thing went smoothly except I did not have the option for "audio wanted" being set to 0 in cod22 config file. I can tell it has an effect especially the front audio change but footsteps are gone I just had a guy run up right behind me.

If powershell IS NOT WORKING, follow the guide that he mentions. There are two links in that article that will make this a breeze. the first is "External Article - How to Geek" it will walk you through it step by step. It is intimidating but its super simple. You cannot edit reggit if you do not follow the "How to Geek" article. The next is in a comment below everything, is a youtube video. Skip to 12:20 in that video. Follow his steps exactly. All this stuff seems overwhelming but a bit of time youll have it figured out.

Strong work as always. I have been rocking the 3.5 audio, only because every time I jump into Warzone with season 4 I lose the hesuvi front channel. Works fine in the range but drops out in the match, haven’t found a fix for it yet.

I feel like with the S4.5 config that everything is really quiet and then all of a sudden footsteps come out of nowhere. Also, I'm getting a weird scenario where sounds like gunfire or explosions are quiet and then dramatically louder... almost like when they're in a certain spatial range i.e. behind me

Thanks for the guide! I followed it in S3, and it worked extremely well. I feel like whatever they changed from then up until now made the configs harder to use. The S3 settings make the game way to quiet, and the S4.5 makes things way to loud (like explosions). I've had to go back to the default audio settings, for now.

Just want to confirm that in my case i had to wait like 5 minutes for the powershell step to go thru. So if you enter and it doesnt go thru the process immediately just step away for a few minutes.. Not sure why my pc was like that but that's what worked for me.

I think the previous configurator with equalizerapo was a better solutions since you can enable or disable the text config files. You could easily add back your previous config tunes with off and on. Easy to A/B test which config works better.

My headset mic is not working anymore after doing all of this. I even tried to delete all of the apps to see if it would fix it because I care more about talking to people than hearing footsteps and unfortunately it did not work so now I am stuck with fully functional headset but mic not working. Idk if doing this messed with my mic drivers but I would really like if someone can help

Pretty sure your default mic device just got switched during install and you had to choose your old mic device in discord/COD. This audio can't "break" a mic

Hey!!! I was having trouble with the POWERSHELL part... After I pressed A then Enter it showed me something different for putting in the device name. YOU HAVE TO HIT ENTER 2X times. A ~ ENTER ~ ENTER. Then the proper text shows up and you can enter your device name!! This fixed my problem! Hope this helps =)

for the power admin step look if the users that are coming are on windows pro or have their system in a organization pool, I am running windows pro and my registry keys are under SYSTEM and it might be why the PowerShell command is not working

For some reason I don’t think my mic input is coming through I’m using a headset with the mic connected to it and when I try to fix it through cod and test my mic using the 7.1 + LEQ the game audio is playing through it but none of the input devices lets my mic through

Alright so: I've tested both Season 3.5 and season 4 audio Season 4: Front channel is "soft". crates are still quite low and can't really hear the footsteps. Season 3.5: Everything is way louder. Its really nice. Although it feels like stereo (sounds pop from left to right if I look around). Is this normal? I am 100% sure I followed each step correctly. What should I do?

@artiswar- question, footsteps seem to disappear after one match. After a match and I enter the firing range, I can no longer hear my own foot steps. Do you have a fix for this? The only fix I’ve found is restarting the game and this isn’t always feasible when I’m partied up.

Follow all your steps twice, but ingame the sound is kinda "low volume" i went to voicemeter and raised on Hardware Out to +12DB on both bars. idk if its correct but helped with the volume- My headset is and Corsair Virtuoso 7.1. Thanks for the both videos anyway it helped!

For me the powershell worked but it took my computer (Ryzen 5800X) about two minutes and clicking on the window until the few lines popped. So maybe try to wait a little bit.

Thank you for this. I tried the season 4 setting and it didn’t really work that well, I could hear footstep audio, but actually getting a direction on it was impossible, also there was also a lot of noise clutter, like building creaks and water which you don’t hear normally. I suspect it is down to my headset. I also had a issue with Powershell, in that the final step was not loading, after pressing enter, oddly I resolved this by highlighting the text and pressing enter, which is strange. Hopefully the older setting work better with my headset. Audio in this game is so bad, it’s almost as if everyone has dead silence.

probably just need to double check that your mic is set as default device in sound panel under "recording tab" anytime you download and install a new cable, windows wants to make that new device the system default device. Also make sure your mic is selected in game as well. Hope this helps.

If anyone has an issue with Hesuvi not loading the profiles but allowing you to put them in the folder, the whole EqualizerAPO app must be installed EXACTLY in that directory, named exactly like that. mine had a subfolder and defaulted to a slightly different name it would not allow anything to operate correctly. I had to uninstall and reinstall the whole app in a new place for it to function.

I tried this with A40's. First 1 is trash for A40's, second one you can hear footsteps really good, but directional is non existence. It was very frustrating to not tell where they was coming from, now. I am a noob to all of this. So what do I know. ArtisWar. If you can find a fix to this with A40's it would be a blessing. I do have an issue though, after a couple of hours the audio breaks, becomes very distorted and 'grainy' (on the LEQ, I found the 7.1 LEQ to be quite muffled) and I need to restart the PC to get rid of it. I also get a warning on windows start up about a bad audio driver installation, should I just restart the entire process or is there an easy fix for it maybe?
