My mom had a Étienne Aigner bag in the mid 70’s. I haven’t seen them in the US for years, but my mom loved hers. Every time I see the “a” logo…I think of her 🙏🏼. I believe the company just is Aigner now. Thank you for window shopping here ❤

I am a Curator so I love museums, and my specialism is Venetian art - every holiday I go on is a busman's holiday. I'm delighted to see Milan through your eyes. There are some great art galleries near where you have been window shopping ... looking at the glass &c is via Montenapoleone. The Brera has the most beautiful collection of paintings from the early Renaissance, or even earlier to the 19C. The Poldi Pezzoli (Fine and Decorative Art) is 5 minutes from the area where the glass shop is. Seeing Milan as I eat my breakfast this morning before work is such a treat for me. I love museums! When i go abroad, museums are my Number One go to attraction! the Colombo bags are certainly expensive, but exotic, so that is to be expected. And I suppose it may be an established 'old money' brand in Italy? Thank you for the video! It is EPIC! (I love the look of that non-Birkin boutique!)

When I was in Milan is stayed at the Boscolo Milano and they had such good breakfasts, the rooms were funky when I went and they had like 12 different types of soap in the shower, def recommend AND a roof top view of the duomo

The lovely bag by So Le Studio was founded by Maria Sole Ferragamo: the grand daughter of Salvatore Ferragamo! I didn't know this until I googled about the bag. It's so sweet she's carrying her family's legacy in craftsmanship

@@tiepolo100 Apparently, there is! I don't know much about the brand, other than Salvatore Ferragamo (the founder) was a shoe designer (sorry, not too into shoes 😅 I'm a bag and couture boy). The house codes of Ferragamo are too simple for my taste, but I'd love to go visit someday and learn of the rich history of the house 😁

If you want real Venetian glass you have to go to Murano. It’s only a boat ride from Venice. This is why when we go to Italy for 3 weeks we don’t pack a lot of clothes you will always want to buy things there. Plus if I need it I’ll buy an extra suitcase.

Hello Sophie, Lovely vlog - I'm sorry you got so soaked! Interesting tidbit, in the mid 80s, my now husband and I had the only Etienne Aigner concept boutique in North America. The quality was great and their burgundy Cordova leather bags and shoes are classics. I collect the bags from the 60s-90s before the brand was sold over here and the quality suffered. It was lovely to see the store! I've put it on my must-see list. Thanks!

Hey Sophie! Love this travel vlog series!! I went to Milan and Florence this September when it was still boiling hot! Only spent 1 day in Milan because I spent 2 days in Monza for the F1 race, it was EPIC!!! I spent more time in Florence. If you already love Milan, prepare to love Florence even more!! Don’t forget to try out the Florence steak, it’s so incredibly juicy and delicious! The architectures, hands down the best! And you can’t miss the glorious Uffizi Gallery! I can go on and on you can tell how much I love Florence! Enjoy your time there!!! ❤

Ciao! It is nice to see that you are admiring Italian bags, shoes, and clothes. No one needs Chanel or Dior all the time. When you travel, don´t you go abroad in order to see local stuff and not international products? I would also enjoy short museum videos. The weather is a nuisance, I admit, but so late in autumn is it risky everywhere. I would say that Florence is a better place for handbag shopping, - or for leather goods in general. You worried about your luggage. When traveling to a lovely country like Italy, I take very few things with me, because I will be shopping a lot and I need empty space in my suitcase for my return flight. The white jacket is pretty. Enjoy the food and romantic moments with your darling.

The price for Colombo bags is reasonable IMO in comparison with other heritage brand exotic skin, hand-made bags. The colours of the skins they use are very subtle and unique. If you like alligator or croc, I recommend Colombo.
