Enjoyed watching your flight into Boston. I would have liked to see the whole circuit though. Landed there in the early 80's from Fenland in a C150. Rugby match ongoing. Lived in Boston at the time. Cromer brings back memories, my old Cessna 120 (had sold my share) met its end there in Sept. 2003, nobody injured! Now flying a DR400 out of Husbands Bosworth.

Sorry I didn't show the whole circuit but some would probably say the video was dragging if I did. It is a balancing act, I got it wrong this time. Thanks for watching.

@@harryscott3741 only flown to work at a weekend as it would take me longer to get there than it is to drive, with 1/2 hour to the plane, get it ready for flight and 1/2 hour to fly there, but I should do it just for fun one day 🙂

I'll have to try and make it to Boston now. Good to you out and about. Are you converting to nosewheel then? Same about the ground audio. Onwards and upwards.
@flyingkub4 ай бұрын
No not converting to nose wheel 🙂 COnverting to side by side right seat. I forgot my fuzzy mic. I have managed to fly yo Boston and New York in on day 🙂

I missed seeing your building progress last Friday but pleased to see you looking well and enjoying a flight. Unfortunately the volume at the start and finish of this video was too low for my hearing (even with my aids) so I didn't get what you were doing in Boston. Regards Michael
@flyingkub4 ай бұрын
@@michaelchartres sorry Michael didn't do a build video as been too busy with work stuff. I went to Boston to learn to fly from the right seat as I have only ever flown a side by side as P1 from the left seat not as P1 in the right.

Nice flight. How many hours do you have on your F23 Hirth? What is your fuel/oil top secret recipe (mixture)? Are you running 100 octane avgas? All your videos seem like its a great motor to fly with. I have the same engine for my new build. Its a Badland 103, very similar to your plane. I am here in the USA Thanks
@flyingkub4 ай бұрын
I have nearly 250hrs behind the Hirth. I fly with MoGas, 91UL or 100LL using BlueMax 2 stroke oil at 90:1. I get very little carbon build up, not needed to do a decoke on the exhaust to date, I find the belts last 100hrs, plugs I just change at each 25hr service but that's just me. Blue Max oil costs a fortune here but is easier to get in the USA. Most of my flying is cross country, some over water, to places up to 150miles away, in one hop, so have to use the fule available there but I tend to keep the use of leaded fuel down as it reduces the life of the plugs. Thank you for watching.
