I think Minecraft only allows itself to use 2GB by default. Unless you have one of the shittiest computers in existence, Minecraft will just crash. Or you _could_ give it every gigabyte your computer has and watch it burn.

For anyone who's ever wondered why detonating mountains of TNT in Minecraft (such as in this case) causes so much lag... It's because each explosion is actually handled through raycasting. Let me explain: To create the explosion, the game launches out a bunch of rays in all directions, with the explosion's power determining how far they can go before they're stopped. If a ray hits a block, it will destroy that block. Doesn't sound that process-intensive, espeically since each one takes very little time to resolve, usually less than 0.02ms. Problem is, hundreds of these rays are casted with each explosion, and Minecraft's internal server logic ticks 20 times each second at the optimal rate, leaving only 50ms for the server to process everything (including explosions) before it has to start causing lag. It would happen that Minecraft has an internal limiter for explosion-processing just in case of this exact scenario, only allowing so much of it to be processed in a tick before the game says 'no' and delegates the processing to the next tick, which is why the game acts so strangely while a large-scale TNT detonation is underway, and why even after the majority of the TNT blocks are primed the explosions themselves can happen for minutes afterward.

This build world ended up being oddly sweet because the complete lack & scarcity of resources made the entire world have the atmosphere of a group of friends playing in their survival world, but scaled up to a massive degree. Like each little build has a very obvious story. Friends and solo players finding new buddies & making their own communities, all working to create something together. Its insanely nostalgic
