We don't appreciate selfish men who think it's alright to play mind games with us and deceive us just so they can have access to our vaginas for a night. Its harmful and its selfish and its cruel. If you want sources, ask any woman in your life. You don't need to be a scholar to figure it out. I'm gonna tell you something else: I'm a lesbian. And I have never once had to insult or belittle or train a woman like a dog to get her in bed with me. Because when I date women, I don't expect anything from them, and I certainly don't think I'm owed their time, attention, or intimacy. I was on my was to class with head phones in and he literally chased me down the street and asked me questions about myself. Unbeknownst to me, he was secretly filming the entire time. this creep put my name, school, major, and face on his channel unedited and unblurred. In an effort to shrug him off, I gave him a fake number and went about my day. A couple months later an ex of mine sent me the video, claiming that a mutual friend who had seen us together sent it to him. In his video, with well over 100,000 views he presents me as a success story because he managed to get 5 numbers that morning (can't imagine how many were fake). Even creepier were the comments rating me on my looks and talking about what they'd do to me. Mind you these men commenting knew information they could use to find. These PUA are scum. @Drake ICN Hmm, it might be because women invest more time in themselves, both psychological self-development and physical appearance, so the average man is lower tier than the average woman, but most emotionally healthy people would look for someone who is at their level, not much worse. Also, people tend to put more weight in things that they have, for example, smart people put a lot of weight in intelligence, hardworking people put a lot of weight in hard work, empathetic people put a lot of weight in empathy. So, you are always more likely to undervalue a person, compared to how they value themselves (unless they are insecure or have some other psychological issues). To answer your question though, why I keep rejecting people, is that they do not fulfill the minimum requirements for me to consider them. The minimum requirement is: 1. attraction 2. > 0.1 expected probability that a relationship will work out in the long term. If being in a relationship was more pleasant than being alone, then I would consider that relationship to be "working out", so logically, it does not make sense for me to get into a relationship that does not fulfill these requirements. Now I have no way of knowing this, but I do assume that other women who stay single over prolonged periods of time feel the same way and the core reason behind them rejecting people and staying alone is essentially that they are better off alone. Personally, I know more men who are like this, than women, but it might be easier for you to notice the women. I know nothing about the ruthlessness. Certainly, everyone should try to be kind and understanding. There is no arguing that. :D
@Desimere5 жыл бұрын
@Drake ICN hmm, this is not a gender issue. I, as a female "big bang theory" personality also find that men rarely appreciate my skills. Basically the only men i manage to date have all been software engineers. Exclusively, 100%, and I'm not aiming for that. I am looking for someone who would be empathetic and caring. I thought that it was because I'm a woman and this sort of thing is stereotypically a male thing, i thought that if the roles were reversed it would be easier, but now i see it's just a human thing :D. I do not like considering the past for comparison, because the situation would have been even much worse for me in the past. And yes, i have also been dissed by women the same way in a friendship relationship. I think it might be because i appear to have a low social status. I am keenly aware of imbalance in gender roles because the way attraction works for me is kind of really particular and not compatible with the cultural gender roles we have. So i get easily annoyed at assumptions that classify men and women into some roles when it comes to relationships, because this kind of thinking is what is preventing me from finding a person who would be attractive for me. And living with someone i am not attracted to sucks big time. I can sense the other person's dissatisfaction with me "not loving" them and so I'm under constant stress to try to find ways to improve the situation, with elaborate ploys to manipulate them into acting in ways that would make me attracted and never quite succeeding. At least not for a prolonged period of time. So i don't see why i should put myself through that if friendship is a viable option to avoid loneliness.

An actual tip on how to compliment a girl you like coming from a woman and a lesbian: compliment women on what they control. I know telling a girl she's pretty or hot might sound like an actual compliment to a lot of men and it can be from someone you already are dating and are confortable with or a close friend but it's very intrusive coming from a stranger or even someone you know in passing. Instead, compliment women on their jacket, their cool earrings, make up or shoes. Those are all things that she put effort in to make herself feel pretty and she'll appreciate you noticing it without feeling like you've been starring at her like a creep for 15 minutes across a bar. And if you see that the girl is uncomfortable, no matter the situation and no matter if you think you did something wrong or not, step back guys, you never know where people's limits lie.

I actually met Mystery through a friend while living in Hollywood and it's like you said, he's the least worst of the pickup artists, but that's not saying much. They can't turn it off, so conversation with them usually just revolves around getting laid, so they are boring to hang out with. Most of those guys were nerds in highschool, that's true. I mentioned that I play D&D, and I saw Mystery's eyes light up for the first time ever, and he mentioned he used to love playing D&D. But, he said, as his eyes turned dull and lifeless, he "gave it up so he could get girls". Here's a guy who used to be interesting, and his magic tricks are fun, who has basically given up all of his favorite hobbies just so he could chase girls every night. It was quite sad, actually. I went to the club with him about three times, and once to a house party to celebrate the premiere of his VH1 show; and that was enough for me. He wasn't really interested in male friends, just wingmen. I also started noticing that he would invite me to events, but only if I promised to bring my sister along. Nope, nope. Through Mystery, I had the displeasure of meeting the other crew. His best friend Matador, who I constantly mispronounced his name. He once joked about how I had "jungle fever" when he saw me dancing with some black women at a club, which put a bad taste in my mouth. His girlfriend was also constantly helping him pick up girls, which was weird. I also met this guy called Heartiste, who was a troglodyte. Like, really racist and possibly a pedophile. And he had a really stupid nickname in a group of people where stupid nicknames were the norm. There were a few more, but I can't remember them. If you get invited to a party where half the men are pick-up artists, DO NOT GO. *Save your sanity, play D&D instead.* I will note, I never had a date find out I play D&D and then reject me. In fact, I managed to convince my wife to join in a few games. It's not something she would do often, but she had a great time.

"Alpha's" exist, sorta, just not in wolves. He published a retraction paper, but by then 'alphas' were in the public consciousness and no one wanted to hear it wasn't based on anything real.

Listening to this breakdown brings me back to my ex who used to tell me "you only got that job/promotion because you're hot and the boss just wants to fuck you" followed by "you're not as hot as you think you are". I always thought those were weird things to say, but assumed he just had a really weird sense of humor (btw I was the front-woman of a rock band and an actual model). During our 5 year relationship I didn't understand why as my professional success grew, I just kept feeling more and more like shit. I wanted to break up with him but felt responsible for him financially.. Eventually I did, he threw a tantrum and (him at 34) started dating a 19 year old stripper, making sure to just happen to run into me at every event I attended.. I suddenly had flashbacks to past interactions and realized what a small person he is.. My own blindness and co-dependency disappointed me more than anything.. I wish I knew about these books back then! Oh and last week I went on a date with a guy who started giving me weight loss tips and telling me I could "really do better". HA I've got a PHD in negging! Nice try, chump.

Yeah, my narcissist domestic abuser did play that card but in a less nasty a way... But he did tend to add "and you're hot" to any list of reasons why a man might value me. Like "My therapist is very generous about reading my emails between sessions. He says he likes my writing and he's hinted that I do the work more diligently than most of his other clients." Boyfriend adds "And you're hot." It's similar to Stockholm syndrome, the way we end up learning to take these diminishment of our value as compliments. Before we broke up I was *almost* learning to accept the absurdity that if--after listening to him go on and on about his political ideas all afternoon--I shared one of mine with him and he didn't respond I had to ask him what he thought and he'd say "oh yeah that's adorable sweetie." Adorable??? They seduce you by telling you you're "freaking brilliant." Devalue you once they have you. And condition you to shrug and figure at least it's something when they give you sexiest feedback like "huh, what? Oh yeah your ideas are totally adorable sweetie"... 🤦🏼♀️🤯🤯🤯🤬😔😞

Fun fact: alpha wolves as we imagine them were documented in captivity, but not in the wild. Because wolf packs are typically made of families, one breeding pair will share the title of leader. That role comes with the responsibility of caring for every other wolf, especially the young and elderly. The "omegas" are not servants. Wild "alphas" are required to be generous and compassionate in order for the pack to survive. Watch any documentary on wolves made in the last five years. You'll see what I mean.

Whether you are looking to date someone or not, don’t be a jerk. Don’t be human garbage and treat those around you like disposable items that you can replace at any time. All thats going to leave you with is more loneliness and less friends. Treat people how you want to be treated, you never know what a women (or man) is going through. Don’t treat women or men as objects that can be destroyed. Period. If you like a man or a woman, treat them like friends. Being great friends is always the start to a relationship. Even if you aren’t romantically involved at all, being there for a close friend when they need it is the most important thing you can do. Don’t guilt trip them or treat them bad if things don’t work out the way you want it. If it physically kills you to not be with a girl romantically and you can’t see her with anyone else, then you may have to back off from her because it’s most likely not going to end well for both of you. It’s ok to have a sad day if it goes like that (women have sad days all the time, why can’t men have one?). You are allowed to feel heartbroken and cry if a relationship didn’t work out. Both men and women should take time to help get over a break up because they are going to sting. Just don’t do anything that will hurt you or anybody else. No girl or boy is worth hurting or abusing yourself or others over. This is the advice men and women should be getting. Not this stuff. Wow I wrote a freak ton. Gonna go to bed now. There's a shit ton of women who don't know what the fuck they want, nobody wants to admit this because it would result in a bunch of butthurt women. When you have these guys who acknowledge a reality to men who have failed nonstop with women that no one else will, that's what makes those pickup artists profitable. Damn! A guy in one of my classes annoyed me to no end because he was constantly insulting me in a way like he thought he was being friendly. I was so confused because he wouldn't leave me alone, kept wanting to talk to me, walk me out. Now I realise he was negging me. Guys, unless your goal is to irritate someone until she considers physically pushing you away from her, don't do this. Honestly, it's repelling.

I think my favorite encounter at this point happened a couple of days ago. This guy who knew I was there with my boyfriend, who was DJing karaoke night at the bar, asked to buy me a drink. I had already switched to water as it was later in the night and told him no thank-you. HE WENT UP TO THE BOOTH AND ASKED MY BOYFRIEND PERMISSION TO BUY ME DRINKS. Then came back insisting my boyfriend was cool with it. What my boyfriend actually told him, surprised by his audacity was, "She's a grown woman ask her." I have to say that was by far the most ballsy encounter I've had.

In Season 4, Episode 9 of Criminal Minds there’s a pickup artist who reminds me of Mystery. It’s a very satisfying episode, as by the end he completely embarrasses himself while trying to prove his method works to two of the agents.

I am honestly disturbed by the contents of this "book". Until now I thought pick up books were basically just a collection of stupid pick up lines but the amount of psychological manipulation that this guy suggest... it honestly creeps me out to think that there are probably people out there who take this as serious advice Edit: I wrote this comment before finishing the video- suggesting RAPE as a legit thing, ARE YOU @@$%#! This is one of the milder ones. I really do recommend the hbomberguy video Dom mentioned, but fair warning, the guy who he covers has openly bragged about raping drunk women, and suggested rape should be legalised... yeah

HA. Even Dominc Noble freely admits that Hbomberguy is a legendary youtuber. Nice! Makes me wonder how many have missed out on checking him out after this video here mentions him directly. And furthermore, how many did 'just' watch his Pick-up-Artist Video and then stopped cause they randomly assumed the other videos cant be just as good/funny.
