First of all, when someone shows up at your shop you stop what you are doing and turn your full attention to that person. That person could be a potential customer or some other business venture, etc. If they only want to socialize you are losing money every minute you are with that person and it adds up faster than you would think. Second, you are liable for that person that is on any property you are insuring. If they stub their toe it is your responsibility. So it's not about control, it is common courtesy. Look at it from his perspective.

Ya know... Given that the BEM is a Corvette and is meant to be a road car, and given that y'all are in Florida, you should set that puppy up for a track day at either Sebring or Daytona. It is not a drag car. It's a GT and cries out for a road course.
